Hi @legalfalcon
I applied pnp paper based on june 2017.
I did upfront medical in feb 2018.All my assessments except security was passed on Feb 26,2018.According to GCMS its says Ready for PS. I wanted to know what this means and how long it might take till a decision is made?

Thanks in advance for your response
Ps means public safety. It take usually minimum of one month max 4months depending on your travel records

Thanks @Olaola99. I was looking for this answer from weeks. My location also says READY FOR PS.
I have quick question, do you happen to know what does S.21 means on GCMS notes on top right hand corner ?
Thanks

Can you pinpoint exactly where in tip right corner? May be upload a pic or something for S.21?

If the location it’s ready for PS , that means the Background check it’s done?
I dont think so, ready for PS means ready for security check. After it is done result will be send back to CIC and that is when it is ready for final review before PPR

waiting for PPR now. I really hope I can get PPR soon. What is the chance of rejection for this decision made? People said IP2 without further contact from CIC is a good sign. But I'm just concerned.

Since your application is paper based, here PS refers to https://www.publicsafety.gc.ca/index-en.aspx.

See https://www.publicsafety.gc.ca/cnt/brdr-strtgs/mmgrtn-nfrcmnt-en.aspx
See https://www.publicsafety.gc.ca/cnt/brdr-strtgs/dmssblty-cnd-en.aspx

Once they get a clearance from the agency, your will have the PPR.

Thanks for the info! Do you know how long it usually takes in normal circumstances after the file was in "ready for PS"? And what will be other locations of the file after "ready for PS"? I've ordered my new notes yesterday, now very excited to see if anything has changed since April. I understand that the file locations would be the best way to understand what's going on with the security check, since everything else is being redacted.

I've called cic this morning to check status of my application. they have told me that i have passed criminality and Eligibility. So anyone can tell me when can i expect passport Request??

Thank you in advance..:)
it can be as early as August, but might take longer. 19 months will end in November, you should get it by then if there are no extensive checks required.
