Same situation. The first officer i spoke with said everything is fine nothing is missing.
I called again another officer told me security not yet started.

Haha the first agent told me that security check has started. When I called back after a month, another agent said that security has no started. When I asked them about why two different agents are giving different info, she basically had no answer. That's not even agents fault because they aren't trained properly.

I think it's because many people mix up Security check and Background check. That's why some agents say it's in progress, because BGC is in process, and security is a part of it.

I am not too sure but is it worth applying for express now? I contacted the local MP and requested him to ask about my application status. MP came back saying that the SS in under process but could not provide a definitive timeline.

hi, do you know if majority of April applicants received MR in the beginning of April? Because I suspect the PPRs that are being sent now are the ones who received MR end of Feb, beginning of March.

There is also a scheduled maintenance for tomorrow morning, so more PPRs will come tomorrow.

My situation was very similar to yours. I was planning to apply express but then I got medical request and pre-arrival email within a month. Therefore, I kept the express plan on hold. But nothing since end of April. Now I am wondering if it's worth to pay additional $2000 (Spouse and I) or wait for few months.

I dont think it is the issue of being trained. It is highly confidential. I think it is only the officer working on our file have access to the result. It only show not started when the agent check. Let be hopefl PPR soon

I would probably wait to see if you receive your PPR along with others who had their MR passed at the same time as you.

My number is 0026, and i'm April.

May be my numbering is little bit wrong. My intension is March applicants EP numbers are some what earlier than February applicants.

i think it has nothing to do with numbers. it all depends on the batch they send out. since February everything was pretty much moving in a batch. IP2s in a batch, MRs in a batch, PPRs in a batch.
The GCMS notes also mention words such as "batch sent" in the subactivities.
Everyone who has received PPR June 1 and onwards had their MR at the end of February, or beginning of March. So I think that if your application is in that batch, you receive it along with others. If for some reason your application got stuck somewhere along the way, then you get into the next batch or the batch after. Or even get dealt with separately (and receive an odd PPR without the batch like we see once in a while)

My number starts with 0026 too, and I am a January applicant. I don't think there is a system or logic there, as with most things that CIC does.

May 2017 applicant with EP0027***** , MEP on April 2018 and spoke with an agent this morning re my status, replied to me that everything seems ok except my security check which they did not start yet. informing me again that it takes 18 months for the PNP app and calculated it will be on Nov 2018 to get the result/ decision.
