Do you know if your application is undergoing security screening? That might be the reason for lengthy process.
I also read that LVO is quite slow unfortunately.

I don’t know, but what I know is the processing of background checks in MyCiC started in Aug 2017

Last email I got from LVO was in mid of April stating that my file is undergoing background checks,
But background checks as I remember started August 2017, before medical request by one month..
