PNP- PR ( CIC applicants SEPTEMBER and OCTOBER 2015)

Hello guys,
I am inland applicant ON-PNP oct-4-2015 applicant. Today i called CIC to check why still my file is under process.... They told me a good news..
decission was made and my application got approved on january -6th 2017 and they sent me a mail as notification.. i never received it.. and my online status is still showing as back ground 'in-progress' decission - not made.. so they told me it could be because of system fault and they will send me the letter again to my mail and instructions will be there on what's the next step.. so please be aware of this.. if your application is waiting more 15/16 months call CIC to inquire about your status just to stay on safe-side.
and also reply if this happened to any body else.

Hi, everybody. I'm here to share our landing experience at YYZ yesterday.
We were in-land applicants and took all the documents with us on a trip abroad with a plan to land on our way back.
We arrived at the border control and informed the officer that we wanted to do the landing.
The officer asked whether we had any separate luggage that would arrive later. We said no.
He wrote something on our declaration form and sent us to Immigration.
At immigration, the officer viewed our passports and Confirmation of PR and asked us a few questions, including
1) whether we were convicted of any crime anywhere,
2) whether we were ever denied entry into Canada,
and 3) whether we had any dependants.
We brought with us employment letter and bank statements among other documents. However, the officer didn't ask for any of them.
He then sent us to Service Canada to apply for the new SIN.
At Service Canada, the procedure was pretty routine. The officer viewed our passports and CoPR and asked us to fill out a form. We waited for less than 10 minutes to get the SIN.
The whole landing process didn't take long, less than 10 minutes at each counter(border, immigration, and Service Canada). People working there were all very nice and helpful.
I hope this post could be of some use to you. Wish everyone a very smooth landing process.

i thought they send by email....god
I sent my application to CIO on 31st Jan, 2017 along with DD. The expiry of the DD is 3 months I guess and it takes about 4 months for AOR. My ques is do they encash DD as soon as they receive my application or will they encash once my no. comes after 3,4 months?? How does the process work in case of Demand Draft?? Thanks a ton in advance for the help.

No need to worry because u will get AOR within 70 days and they will encash DD before providing.amandeepsbhatia said:

If you already live in Canada, you have two options to become a permanent resident:
You can make an appointment at one of our offices near where you live in Canada. To do this, contact us by using this Web form.

You will do these procedures at the first place you arrive in Canada. If you are travelling by air, make sure you have time before any connecting flight or other travel.
If you choose to leave and re-enter Canada at a land border, especially during the peak periods of weekends and holidays, you may have a long wait time for service.
