Guys, has somebody flagpooled at Niagara Falls, can you share your experience?

Hey,
Yup I did my flagpoling yesterday at rainbow bridge. It was quite simple.

At the beginning You need to pay toll of 50 cents to start walking, I walked to the American side. As soon as I got to their office the guy asked me whether I was there for flagpole, I said yes. He asked me couple of qns like have u ever been to US, did you ever apply for US visa? Then he gave me a letter, I had to walk all the way back to the canadian side for CBSA office. Again you come back to that toll, a canadian officer checks all ur docs gives you yellow slip and directs you to the CBSA building.

After entering the building give your passport yellow slip at the counter, take a sit, they call your name. I was there on Sat at around 11.30 am. There were 4 people ahead of me so I had to wait there for 20 mins. An officer called my name, took all my docs like copr , driving license and again asked me to sit until he was filing out some forms.

He again called me after 10 mins. Asked me to sign at couple of places, few initials to make sure that I only have 1 dependent.
He gave my passport back, said that I would get my card in 6-8 weeks. Thats it! the whole process took me 1 hr and 20 mins.

Please update ....... I have sent my photos to PR Mail Dept as per the new instructions they have received today let's see..

I did flagpoling Saturday Jan 14. Climax MT turner border, it is just a small border port, nothing there but me lol
I walk Thru USA window after I parked my Vehicle just 10 steps away from their office, Officer asked for my passport then he just told me to get in the small door. seat and wait, less that 10 mins NO questions NOTHING, he gave me back my passport and walked me on the other side of the office which is Canada side.
Since it not a busy port, 4 nice and good looking officers assisted me, like, one explaining this and that, one is checking my papers, one is photocopying and one is just a bubbly goofing around lol NO QUESTIONs NOTHING DIDNT ask for anything.. I gave them all my papers anyway included my salary Cert so that's why maybe didn't asked me anything.

10 mins Canada side done, I really wanted to stay longer coz I want to relax a bit before driving back again which was soooo boring!!! but it only took not even 20 mins to finish everything, Oh man no choice but hit the never ending highway lol

Thats all.. quick nice and easy.. plus weather was good.

Good Luck to all!!

I have a question. I am about to send my application to CIC (Paper based). My agent saying I just need to send documents (some notorised) and pics. There is no form that I need to fill in or send with my docs. The concerned person said that (paper based ) process in which some forms has to be signed is only in express entry but if we are in CIC stage having nomination letter from Manitoba no forms are need to be signed or filled. Is it true? I am bit confused and very tensed and I dont want my application to be rejected because of some silly mistakes. Please can anyone put some light on it ?? and also neither he asked me for the making the fees. Please advice. Thanks a ton in advance.

Hi Amandeep,

Don't panic.. just follow your checklist.. if something like that mentioned on your checklist make sure you don't ignore that.... and you do need to sign all IMM forms and don't miss them at any cost... read them very carefully then proceed
if there is bracket for signature, do sign it
For all CIC forms and docs use black pen

good luck

I just fill annex A for myself. But I send both of my and my wife passports and photos. Is that ok?
