If I am not wrong, Express entry you will need to take English exam and convalidate your studies which costs money and still will take up to 6 months..... I really think you should get ppr before 6 months...

My IELTS score is still valid. Its valid Until March 28 2017.

I'm going to wait till end of November, by which I should probably know some decision on the Paper based application as per my timeline. If not then I'm sincerely thinking of applying in express entry as well. As express entry is a sure shot 6 month processing where as in the paper based application you never know when the processing time will increase.

It's a good plan. ;)

]Hi Guys,

Would anyone be able to tell me how long it takes after everything has passed (like medical, BC and everything) for PPR?

I had called CIC this morning to check status of WP application as it's been more than 3 months. So after I got information on WP application I just asked the agent about my PR file and he put me on hold and said everything is okay on my file BC is done medical is passed everything is good. He said it should be few months (few months like exactly how many? :o) bcos senior officer has to review the file. I don't understand what does it mean :(

Few months could mean anything, There's alot of applicants from June, July and August still waiting so I assume it is going to be a while for September applicants.

I am hopping to expect mine in mid to late December. Also the agent mentioned that they are very busy so I guess maybe they r busy in clearing backlog of June Jule and August applications.

Hello,
My friend received gcms notes last week.

They Applied for PR under pnp. Husband and wife with no kids or other dependents.

My friend (MR.X) applied for gcms notes and gcms notes explains everything regarding his progress.
But for his wife (Mrs X) sections criminality, Medical etc were erased or not shown and on the right side of page
Mentioned s21 and s 26 on those pages and in activities.
So I assume gcms notes will provide details of gcms notes requester and WILL NOT SHOW INFORMATION
ABOUT SPOUSE OR DEPENDENTS FOR PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION PRIVACY.

So I think s21, 26 are nothing to worry especially when you don't see spouse info in gcms.
It's just a matter of privacy.
Mr X applied a new gcms in his wife's name and probably when they get it his info could be masked.

I read in a different thread that s21-26 entries can delay your application. Is that true?
Seniors any opinion about s21-26

Hi Peeps,

I've got a couple more questions. Hope some of you can kindly share your opinions!

I am a PNP (Master Stream, no job offer) applicant in Ontario. My marital status in my application (Both in Province and Federal stages) is single; however, I have been living with my girlfriend for a little less than 2 years now. Based on some definitions in Ontario I have to live with my partner for at least 3 years to be considered as common-law partners! But, there is a little controversy here and there are other definitions that say this time could be only a year!
Now, here is the question! CIC advises applicants to inform them of any changes in their status. I am wondering do I need to let them know about my status? My problem is that, I am not even sure myself what our status is considered according to these different definitions.

Another question: Although my partner is a Canadian Citizen and I do not need to add her to my files, I am a little worried that if I make any changes at these final stages, I may cause some delay in the processing of my application. Do you think that I am right? Or I have to let them know anyways?

Sorry, I know it is a bit lengthy... but I had another question. I want to order GCMS notes. There are some websites that offer doing it, not for free though. I guess we do not need to pay anything other than the $5 fee??? And it has to be the ATIP Online Request through the website of Government of Canada, Right?

I really appreciate any helps :)

Hi again my friend. Regarding your girlfriend, unless you get married to her, you do not need to inform cic about your relationship. Regarding the GCMS notes, go to this address and order them ubder the privacy act, you do not have to pay anything to anyone, https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do,
Hopes it helps
Regards

They apply Section 21 when they refuse to disclose information because of any concern they might have. It shouldn't cause any delays in the application.

You can read more about different sections here: http://www.oic-ci.gc.ca/eng/inv_inv-gui-ati_gui-inv-ati_section_21.aspx
