I am new here, but on the same boat with you! Just wanted to share my timelines and updates with you and also ask a quick question at the end.
I am a September 2015 inland PNP applicant. The following are the important dates in my application:
Sep 4, 2015 : Documents Delivered to CIC
Dec 3, 2015 : Received my application No. and Acknowledgement of Receipt
Apr 22, 2016 : I received a (general) reminder email to pay RPRF, and to review and resubmit my documents if they are not correct.
Jun 30, 2016 : Medical Examination Requested
Jul 8, 2016 : Did my Medical Examination (it is passed)
Oct 16, 2016 : Additional Information/ Documents requested.
One my friends and I received this email on Sunday morning that is asking for CV and some additional questions. We both had submitted our CVs in the beginning. Our Background Check status has not been changed to "In Progress" and still shows "Not needed at this time"... But I am guessing the yesterday's email is part of the background check! I am wondering does anyone else have the same experience or has anyone received the same email from CIC yesterday?
