Hi Folks,

I have a question about MR and I appreciate if you could share your experience here. I'm an AINP nominee and I've submitted my paper application in Jan 2016 to CIC. Right now I'm waiting for MR.

I've heard that If someone is inland applicant he/she can do an upfront medial (before receiving MR request from CIC) and submit it through case specific inquiry. Just wondering if it's possible to do so. If you've done this, please share your experience.

I suggest to wait.... as we did.....chances from upfront to create mess rather than speed up the case...rest the ball is in your court my friend...good luck!

Background checks in progress today. No email. Just noticed when I logged into my Cic.

Acc to gcms my background checks were completed by the end of May 2016.

Received email a day after update

lol funny......what is doing CIC.....because there is no point to submit Police Clearance if they are working after one year......I wish the May 16 was the right one......well my account details for BC has also changed today.....and I applied for GCMS notes on Oct 1st, lets see....Good Luck!

I am new here, but on the same boat with you! Just wanted to share my timelines and updates with you and also ask a quick question at the end.
I am a September 2015 inland PNP applicant. The following are the important dates in my application:

Sep 4, 2015 : Documents Delivered to CIC
Dec 3, 2015 : Received my application No. and Acknowledgement of Receipt
Apr 22, 2016 : I received a (general) reminder email to pay RPRF, and to review and resubmit my documents if they are not correct.
Jun 30, 2016 : Medical Examination Requested
Jul 8, 2016 : Did my Medical Examination (it is passed)
Oct 16, 2016 : Additional Information/ Documents requested.

One my friends and I received this email on Sunday morning that is asking for CV and some additional questions. We both had submitted our CVs in the beginning. Our Background Check status has not been changed to "In Progress" and still shows "Not needed at this time"... But I am guessing the yesterday's email is part of the background check! I am wondering does anyone else have the same experience or has anyone received the same email from CIC yesterday?

Mine is still in progress. But why cant you check it? Didnt you link your application to your CIC account?

So I just got off the phone with CIC and I spoke to a very helpful agent.

He told me that there is no problems with my medicals but they will be doing a decision on my medicals, and background check all at the same time. The officer gave me a deadline til November 30 and he told me that by that time they should already have a FINAL DECISION. He encouraged me to phone back on the day after November 30 if I dont hear anything at all.

I am so glad I have finally came across an officer with a kind heart.

HE told me everything is looking GOOD so far and he wished me luck,
