Hi Guys,

Just want to share how to order gcms notes since I got mine for free.
There are 2 options:
Privacy Act-FREE
Access to Information Act-$5

Here's the procedures:
1. Site: https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/ (not 3rd party)
2. Fill in the form, please see below the important items you need to know.
- Department, select IRCC
- To be eligible, select Individual/Corporation currently in Canada
- Complete all your Personal Information, please take note that all info
with * should be filled up and put N/A if not necessary.
- Requesting on your own behalf: Yes
- Category that best describe you: Member of the Public
- How would receive the requested record: E-mail
- Select Privary Act, it is free :)
- Type of records: Case Files
- What type of record would you like to request, select Permanent Residence
- Which specific info are you looking for: The electronic notes of the immigration/citizenship officer

By the way, i received the requested records more than 31 days and I did sent follow up email to ATIP-AIPRP@cic.gc.ca for 2 times. You will know further instructions once you have received the automatic email with your tracking number.

God bless.
Hello, thanks for your informative post.
I did apply for one today. That's the first time ever I applied for one.
I just followed what you mentioned.
At the last step they asked to upload a file regarding consent. Do we have to write a consent and upload? I just ignored that and continue to next step. And submitted. It did give me a tracking no.

What's your opinion about that upload of consent?

Is there any harm or everybody should? Did you pay anything?

Thanks for the elaborate post. Some of the seniors said that it may delay the process if we applied for GCMS notes. Is it legit or just paranoia? Thank you in advance.

Hi syrupmonkey,

I did ordered GCMS notes because I want to know the detailed status of my application since IRCC is slowing down giving PPR email. In my case it helped alot thou some codes are difficult to interpret.

If you want to learn more about gcms notes, you may check this links:

I have also read post saying it might delay the applications. Same time I have read in some other threads that gcms notes are dealt by a different department. So it's still not clear of that will delay the process time of whole applications.

I didn't pay anything. I think when you select privacy act you don't have to pay anything and for the other one you have to pay 5$.

I am close to 12 months since I applied. My background checks are not yet started. Anxiety is killing me. Hope gcms will bring some relief.

I have a question I have been asked to submit schedule A with details of specific dates from 2005-2013 is this normal that they ask specific dates and has anyone got rejected on the bases of schedule A I am a November applicant and my background check is still in progress and no Medicals I am a bit concerned.

According to may June 2015 thread PPR is due for applications since mid June.

And 2 applicants got it today.

But personally, I know a guy with 1 dependant who is June 6th applicant received PPR in May. He is PR now.
I am trying to get to know more people who have applied in June July August who are inlands just to know what's going on currently with their applications

I am August 25th 2015 applicant. I got my MR on June 30th. Added my spouse recently with upfront medicals. Hope to get our file processed simultaneously, one of my friends (lawyer- immigration) said it should not take more than 2-3 months now for me.
