Yes absolutely !!
I am October applicant , but it feels soooo good even when seeing September applicants getting their MR.
U r only and only one step far from PR.
Best Wishes

question : if an applicant got medical request does it mean background and security check were done? which is first MR or Background check?
is it the last stage (MR)?

Hi Mosh08..
did you sen all the listed documents after "please note below"? if yes then did you had the police clearance re-done ?
Hi,
I didn't re-do it. What I did was:
Attach update Schedule A, color scanned IELS test result(I scanned it before, so attached just in case), black&white old police certificate (I have kept a copy myself) and wrote a email to explain why I don't have the color scanned Police certificate with me) with Case Special Enquiry. And apparently, the list after "please note" were not necessary if you have submitted before.

When you did your upfront medical check, do you still receive any MR email from CIC?

I believe MR is first. BG check is last or ongoing thing.

Currenty in myCIC for me,

Medical: Passed
BG Check: Not needed at this time

I did upfront for medicals.

Can't really tell as I am october applicant and no one has yet received MR requests from october batch.

I believe you still get email as its auto generated for everyone. Just like RPRF, PCC emails. Even though most of us already submitted, still got the reminders.

Can somebody tell me what upfront medical means?
is it something like you can go book medical and have it done without the medical request from CIC?

Exactly!

1. find a doctor from the list:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/pp-md/pp-list.aspx

2.Call them to book an appointment. Tell them you wanna do upfront medical exam for PR purposes. Check if they do e-medical.
With emedical they can send the results directly to CIC.

3.Once done, they will send your results directly to CIC in 5-10 business days. They will also give you a paper which you can send to CIC using Case Specific Enquiry form as a proof.
