I have read on other forums that they close during these months and that it might delay or applications?

I don't think so Druce . They have holidays like you hae them in your country . They cannot go on endless holidays and especially with Syria thing happening now.

Congratulations! I cant wait to get mine. I just hope and pray I will get mine during the course of December and my file gets transferred to South Africa, Pretoria Visa Office this year

guys, I know that the topic is not exact about my question, but you are the one who defo will know as you have already applied for a PR: are there an alternative to paper based PR?

Can we apply online only and then get a visa stamped once my application is approved?

Hi andy, not that I know of. I have also checked if I can apply through EE which is an online system. Our LOA clearly stated that we can not use it for EE and we have to go the traditional paper based route.

It really is a bummer that we can not use the EE system, a little unfair I think :
