Re: PNP applicants SEPTEMBER and OCTOBER 2015

Thanks for starting such a thread. I'm MPNP applicant and send my application to CIC on Oct 5th.

Should we change the PNP applicants to "PNP PR applicants" or "PNP CIC applicants" just to distinguish that we are on the second stage of PNP?

Hello All,

I applied under MPNP. I received my ITA in August'15 and submitted my application in September. Received my AOR in Sept'15. In my EOI, I had mentioned Steinbach as my selected destination within Manitoba. In their pre-assessment, the immigration office has come back stating that they are not processing the application as "You declared a destination outside of Winnipeg in your EOI, but did not provide satisfactory proof that your connection to this region is stronger than any connection you may have to Winnipeg."

My cousin resides in Winnipeg but I have selected Steinbach. Both are in Manitoba so I dont understand why the rejection happened. Is there anyone who can clarify or throw light?

Sorry abt that little setback Ray. I think ur cousin shld av educated you more as its going to be difficult for him/her to help you in settling well in Manitoba (refer to settlement plan 2) If you both reside in two separate cities. Tell ur cousin to seek an advice of an immigration lawyer first. If nothing comes out that, you can reapply and try to choose winnipeg this time around, you can always move to ur prefer destination after you have settled well in Manitoba. Best of luck man!
