What does it mean?

I think is paper screening, which means it was under review before changing into "in progress"; you're almost there

I went to MP's office day before yesterday he called CIC to check my application status CIC said: " I passed the Security Check now the application is for final decision".

Thank you for your reply my friend, my time of application's submission is same to you.
I thought you knew that your sicurity check has been done through GCMS notes.
Since I am from outside Canada I can't being contact with MP like you.
Hope that my application is done lime yours.

Applied for GCMS on 19th October 2016
Received GCMS 18 November 2016

I had ordered a GCMS in September and below mentioned are the updates while comparing them.

Update:
September GCMS: November gcms:
Group name: (blank). PACE JW 43
Group: (blank). 1-A30JS4T
Location: PS. PACE

On ACTIVITY:
New activity added.
Activity:Security.
Field name: status
Below is blank.
It's supposed to be new value, updated date and updated by in that blank.
But I have read that they won't write anything there for security reasons.
I hope it's all clear. Because location is changed from PS to PACE (at 4:00) after security check created time (3:59)
I assume they must have done security and updated on Oct 15 2016 at 3:59 and as it's good they must have forwarded to next section which is PACE.

At the end of GCMS a new note has been added.

TEXT: file reviewed. No apparent A35/A37 concern evident.

Anyone have any idea how long it takes background check to become "Passed" from "In Progress"

My background check just became in progress today.

I am Sept 2015 Inland applicant and I am planning to go to my home country in December. Can i submit the passport in my home country VFS office if I receive the passport request while I am in my home country?

Do these employment records mean experience letter or even skill-letter/letter of reference from the organizations that were asked during the PNP nominations to confirm whether you actually done the duties listed in the NOC's website?
