The clinic/doctor will give you an upfront medical notification printout.
This paper has UMI number , and it must has the following detail :
IME: Non - EDE
Upfront medical type : Worker

Hello All,

Checked CIC account and below is the timeline as on 17th Jan 2017

Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents Provided
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed Not needed at this time
Final decision Not Started

Again, checked the update on 3rd Feb 2017, status has not changed, it's same as mentioned above. Please let me know why CIC is taking so much of time in processing PNP application (Express Entry)? Almost end of 5th month !!

Hi gautham159. It's hard to say why it takes, so long under Express Entry. Here everybody is paper based, so I'm not sure that a lot of people know too much about Express Entry. How do you count 5 months? From nomination or AOR? I sent my paper application in october 2016 and I passed a medical in January 2017. May be terms depend on visa offices (the country of residency). I don't think that you should worry too much about this. They can't lost your application :) or forget about it. As for me, I know that may be I'll have still to wait nearly a year to get final decision. The most important is that a medical valid for 1 year and the later we'll get visas the less time we have to leave the country.

Hi Chasseur_ei,

Thank you for the quick update, 5th month from the AOR received (23rd Sep 2016).

What do you mean by "later we'll get visas the less time we have to leave the country."
do you mean that we will get less visa period and leave Canada? or other way round i.e. have less time to leave country of residence?

Can any one guide me how to do upfront? I m PNP paper based Inland applicant with one dependent who is in USA ? what is the proper code for that or what to tell doc?

You're welcome. I mean that visa will be valid only till medical is valid. And it's one year. Let's say, for example a person made his medical in January, and got "imigration visa" in October. It means that he has 2 months to leave his motherland. If he gets visa earlier in June, it means that he has 6 month to leave his country of origin.

I've got AOR and medical request in the same month. If everything is continue to be so quickly I'll be very happy, but the alternative is to get visa, let's suppose in november, than it means I have to leave during just one month! Of course, that's positive decision as well but it'll be hard to leave in so short terms.

Hello Guys,

My paper based pnp file was received by cic on Sept. 1/2016 and i got file no. on Dec. 20/2016. After getting file number, I'd successfully linked this application to myCIC account. However, after that 'Express Entry' option is not coming under 'What would you like to do today?'. I'm eligible for express entry and want to make profile. So confused now. Does this also happened to anyone else?. Please share. Please also give me advice. Thank you.

If CIC received application and no AOR yet and IELTS later expired will that affect someone eligibility?
