that is the online tool in CIC website to check your application status. I guess the ECAS stand for Electronic Client Application Status.

And, I got my work permit extension approved yesterday.

Congrats! I guess it will be updated under your CIC account once you receive PPR. Hope we all receive PPR before the holiday comes!!!
