i have a question - how do you get to know that your file had been transferred to Ottawa ????
as far as i know, you can either call the cic Ottawa office and if you are lucky enough to get one of the prestigious officer to pick up your call, then they would be able to tell you if your application is in ottawa or sydney. Or you can email the sydney office to find out if they still have you application. Either way takes lots efforts and very time consuming, but i guess we are used to it now coz it's the government way.

I went to see my MP today. His assistant called information centre for parliamentarians to enquire about my file. Everything looks good on my file just waiting in the queue for final review and there is no time frame.

Not sure if this is helpful to anyone here. I'm April 25th applicant. BG in process since Aug 23rd.

This info is definitely helpful, I almost have the same timeline with you, please keep me posted. Thanks a lot!

Hi guys. I am 31 May applicant.
I requested gcms on July 29 and got result yesterday.

I am little confusing about my criminal status.
It shows they requested my fingerprints but my agent did not get any notice from cic.

I don't know what to do. Should i go to rcmp and get fingerprints by own?
Anybody has same situation with me?

Does it show that your security has been started? File location?
