is it allowed to give upfront medical with paper based application?
I got AOR on 3rd oct 2016. Can i go for upfront medical before getting MR .... I had the understanding that upfront medical is only for EE

Upfront medical is not allowable for Paper based applications.

Yes, did upfront Oct. 6, 2016, then received my RPRF today Oct. 17, 2016. Submitted online payment receipt (RPRF FEE) to my visa office and received confirmation after a few minutes.

Could u please tell me the procedure of upfront? what should I say to Medical Officer and which documents should I take with me ?

Upfront medical is not allowable for Paper based applications.

Upfront medicals are not allowed for Paper based applications.This is meant for CEC, Express entry and some other category.

Medical exams and police certificates
If you applied through Express Entry, you had to complete your medical exam and submit copies of your police certificates to CIC when you applied.

If you applied through the paper-based process, you will be told when to submit these to CIC.

Hi Guys,

I am sharing my immigration process timeline. I hope it help to the future applicants.

AINP Application: 11 August, 2015 (SRS Engineering occupation category)
AINP Inquiry: 4 December, 2015 (About to receive nomination but 5500 quota was completed for 2015)
AINP Received: 17 Jan 2016

PR Application: 11 April 2016 (Applied late after getting AINP because of wife's work permit process)
AOR Received: 3 May 2016

Going to apply for work permit extension this week..!!

One more risk is also with paper app medical, it is a slow process application and after 6 months medical will get expire . May be have take another medical exam due to this

Medical exam is valid for 1 year, not 6 months.
