I am May 09,2016 applicant, waiting for PPR and background check is still Not Applicable.
My bridging open work permit is expiring on December 5,2017. Should i apply now for work permit extension or should i wait for sometime? I am confused.

I really have no clue what's going on with our files. All I want is to know the reason for the delays. Are you short staffed? No sufficient funding? Backlogs? What is it that is causing delays?!

I would say wait for now however keep your application ready to submit by a week before ur work permit expire and apply 2 3 days before the expiration date...

Same thing happened to me in August

I'm May 27th applicant and haven't got any messages yet but it's not going forward too. Been in Canada for almost 7 years and this is getting really frustrating. Another delay???
Same here almost 7 years here (few months here there)... and going to finish 16 months on 15th may nothing yet after medical passed in mid may 2017 ... cic sleeping still ... I think they gonna work again for one or one and a half months then again their drama will start for holidays bcz of Christmas season starts they will again start going on holidays from mid November till January... who knows what the heck r they doing..

As it turns out that there are a lot of April applicants here waiting well over 16 months, there is really nothing we can do? Come on people, we live in a democracy and all of us are high skilled immigrants. If we think creatively we can definitely do something about this. The thing is, it is not even the delay, it is the way they treat us. No accurate information on the status of our application nor a defnitive reason for the delay. It is almost impossible to talk to a live customer servie agent. Our whole life has been stuck on this outcome for over 16-17 months. How can we let this go unnoticed? What can be done? Any creative thoughts? I have heard a lot about going to the media etc. This is a systemic issues that needs to be addressed. #Justice for paper-based provincial nominees
