Anyone else waiting for BG to be In process?

Honestly if CIC is privatized, the whole CIC thing would be under scrutiny for inefficiency and unproductivity. Each and every single employee would get a write-up for not doing their job properly, wasting the organization resources. They most likely would lose their business.

April 25th applicant. I complete 16 months today. Still no PPR.

Here's what I have observed so far. When CIC starts working an application, background changes to "in progress". However after a while (probably after passing all criteria of eligibility) it changes to "not applicable" status (N/A). When CIC is ready to finalize an application, Background status changes to "in progress again" before PPR. (There are some outliers to this observations though).

Thanks for your explanation. Wow, my background has not changed to N/A yet. I have a long way to go then. They are so inefficient and not informative either. I guess what we only can do is to wait.

so apparently they have delay the process once again. I got my ME at the 13th month.

Yeah, I have several friends applied 1-2 months earlier than me and they all got their ME at around 12th month. They have mailed out their passports already in this month.

File received in may 9th day of 16th month .... nothing yet still eligibility requirements check going on from last one and a half months... so frustrating..
