In my case, I had my PNP and a work permit support letter. I just showed them I got my PNP based on my job and a work permit support letter from the province saying that my work permit needs to be extended.

hi, can you tell me how to get a letter of support from Province to extend temporary visa? I have applied for PR through PNP in June 2015 and still waiting for PPR. now my visa and work permit are expiring in 2 months, i think it's the right time to apply for extension of my WP.

I guess you can apply for work permit extension or bridging based on your AOR. CIC will extend your work permit for 1 year and they will do it for 3 years I guess untill you secure your PR.

Yes that will serve the purpose. They can pull all your records based on the UCI itself. Good luck

Hello all,

Im officially a PR now after 3 years of paperwork
PNP took me 18 months
PNP based PR took me 19 months

I have lost a lot of hair over it, like literally its thinned up

My Time line
Date of appli.: June 17th 2015
jan 10th 2017- decision made
jan 13th 6:13 PM - received PPR email
jan 17th - ottawa received passport
jan 26th - passport delivered back to me
jan 28th - Landing

Landing was pretty simple, flagpoling at US customs, received the yellow refusal letter, turned around, went to O canada customs, took my passport/my refusal letter/ confirmation of PR, old stupid closed work permit. got my confirmation of PR as in Landing paper, crossed off the single entry visa, passport back and some pr info thingie, Handshake n took a piss of freedom right outside on the right at the public toilet, Coutts.

I no more have breathing problems which is good

Koka i hope you get through this as well soon :)

omg.... 19 months m scared now

Congratulations! It's been a very long wait for you! I hope you get PPR soon. Can I ask when your background check changed to in progress? Also if it's OK, may I know your nationality please?

Are you? I`m a July 14th PNP based PR applicant ( inland ) still waiting. Passed 21 month already, work permit expires in May.

Go to your local MP and run a MP inquiry, this might help you at least you will know what's going on in a much descriptive way.
