Thank you. First went to US border (Coutts) at 10:22 pm. The officer asked my how many people are on board. I told the officer that we are a family of 4. We want to flagpole. And I handed him 3 passports (2 passports with PR visa, 1 Canadian passport) and 1 birth certificate(Alberta) and told officer that children are Canadian citizen by birth. The officer asked why you want to flagpole, is for your work permit or for permanent resident. I told him for our PR. Then he told us to park the car and come inside the office. Waited there for around 10 mins. Another officer came and handed us our passports and the refusal letter. Also advise us that in future if you apply for US visa, answer yes and write flagpole to the question "Have you ever refused to enter US?" There will be no negative impact on your future US visa application. Then he escorted us to the Canadian border. Both officers were super nice. At Canadian Border (10:47pm) the office asked how many people are on board. I told the officer that we are a family of 4 and just flagpoled from US to Confirm our PR. The officer asked why you went to south (Montana) and again I answered we just flagpoled to do the landing. Then I handed him 3 passports (2 passports with PR visa, 1 Canadian passport) and 1 birth certificate(Alberta). The officer asked why you came so late. I told him received the passports today at 1 pm and left from Edmonton at 3 pm. Then the officer laughed and said can't wait to become Canadian and I said yes cant wait. He told us to park and come inside. Went inside and handed the refusal letter, passports , COPR and previous study and work permits to another officer. The officer went through the COPR with us and get our initials. Waited there around 15 mins. The officer called us in the counter told us to sign the COPR and congratulate us to became Canadian immigrant. Also advise us that we will receive the PR cards within 90 days and told us to update (sin, health card, etc) with this COPR. Both Canadian officers were super nice. That's how the whole landing process went through.
