[quote author=supercow]Hi guys,

My work permit is expiring in July 2016, and I do not receive anything from CIC after AOR. I have applied under SINP. Submitted my file on Aug 2015 and Received AOR on Dec 2015.

For now, I plan to extent my work permit. Because my SINP has employment restriction, I cannot apply for the bridging open work permit. I wonder whether I need to ask my employer to apply for Labour Market Impact Assessment. Is there any body else who is in the same situation or has heard from anyone about such situation?

Can any one help me explain what should I do?

Thanks,
Your employer should pay $230 fee to help you to apply a closed work permit and you can get it from the border as well. You can search the detail on CIC's website.

Hey supercow, Loridong is absolutely right - if your employer is willing to pay the $230 fee, then you are eligible to apply for a closed work permit, with a labour market exemption. This is what I did last year. There's info about it here.

Best of luck!

2. For anyone who wants to apply online first has to create the account. So till that point its common for all even if they don't apply anything after creating it.
3. link the existing account:
Enter all detail required + for English test detail, use the following:
Test: None
Test Id: 000
Test Date: CIC application received date.

Anyone else received PPR today??
I am wondering if we have any inland person who applied before or on May 22 and still waiting for PPR.

Even today has been a dull day, not lots of DMs and PPRs.....

Actually CIC is creating trouble for them by creating backlog... They are giving PPR of just 3 days in a week from last 3 weeks while on other hand CIO is sending AOR in just 25 days so the input is faster but output is ridiculously slow

I hope this does not affect the application decisions ...
