guys, do you know if it's okay to provide a different address other than the one that's on the application for the PR card to be sent to when landing, assume same city.

APRIL 24 applicants still waiting for PPR
my post graduate work permit is going to expire May 3rd, which is 29 days from now.
i'm still hoping to get PPR this week or next, and get the passport back within 1 or 2 weeks, so i can land while I still have status.
i'm worried that even if i get PPR, the passport might not be sent back before my wp expires.
Do you guys know if it's okay for your work permit to expire while waiting for your passport to be sent back? My guess is no, any insights?

and if i cant get PPR by the end of this week, i need to start to apply for closed work permit, which stress me out quite a bit, whats the general documents thats required?
the NS immigration officer who handled my case said she can issue a letter of support as a replacement of LMIA, but i've seen people need to have their employer pay the compliance fee, what's that about?

Yes, you should definitely apply for a wp extension if you have not received PPR yet. I'm in NS as well, had to do the same thing earlier this year, my wp expired last week. Your employer has to log in through Employer Portal, register there, fill everything out and pay the compliance fee and with that receipt you can apply for a closed wp. It's actually not a very complicated process, you just gotta ask your employer to do that. But I gotta admit it was stressing me out quite a bit. Best of luck to you!

WOW I'm really happy for everyone who got their PPR today!!! Congratulations, guys!!! Long wait has been rewarded! ;) ;) ;)

Mid June applicant_ Ontario.

File Number on Sep 17, 2015

....Nothing until April 1, got an email to resend Schedule A ...It means I did something wrong on my original app?

Can I do upfront Medical??

Thank you.

You probably missed information or have gap on history. Thats what happened to me. I do not have any idea if you can do upfront medicals. If tou applied inside canada i think you have to wait till they ask you for medicals. Good luck. It will maybe come the medical request by mid april.

Anyone here from Alberta who got their ppr?
I am looking people to share car trip to border in Coutts. If anyone will be going there in 2-3 weeks from either Calgary, Edmonton or Red Deer please message me. We could split gas and company while driving:)

I am an early June applicant, and until now I thought most of the May applicants were dead...lol. Good to see you all coming back alive at the right time. I have a question, do you think May applicants are less than April? If that's the case us early June applicants can hope to get our PPR within the next 4-5 weeks maximum.

And heck ya, Congrats to all the April applicants who go their PPR and rest keep your hopes alive, let us all pray to the Gods to shower their blessings on us.

Amen!

If you can log in ECAS using your RPRF payment receipt number, that means your payment has been successfully received!

Guys, I have a question here, if you write a different mailing address in your envelop for your PPR to the address you applied for PNP and PR, is that ok?

I moved out during the pr process but I have not changed my address.

thanks a lot

In Ready for visa email, it is mentioned that "Please review your mailing address above and advise us of any updates.". I think you can send along with your passport a letter stating that your address has been changed since you applied. That should be good!

After paying RPRF, did you send the receipt to CIC? Whether in the form of mail or by case specific inquiry?
Another way to check that they have received it or not is that go to check application status and try to check your status by the RPRF receipt number. If it is successfully checks your status then they have received your RPRF fees. If not that call CIC and figure out what's going on.
Remember CIC receives hundreds of payment daily so they don't have any idea that who pays for what. It is applicants responsibility to aware CIC by sending the receipt that you have paid this fees for this.

Hope it helps you.
