I feel your pain Youngimmigrant. It's so frustrating when they give a batch of ppr's and then go to sleep for who knows how long...

I don't like that pause, did anyone receive ppr today??

I know, right? Makes you think that CIC will take another long pause -_-

My BF got a message today saying that his BOWP has been approved and will be mailed to him. He applied for it on January 19, 2016 and his last WP expired om February 19,2016 so he has been on implied status. This is such a relief as we were worried about what would happen if he had to quit his job before getting PR.

We weren't positive he would be approved for the BOWP because his job and employer are both listed on his nomination letter. However, there is not anything that says there is a job restriction on his PNP letter and when we asked the MPNP office they said there wasn't any job restrictions on him. His last WP was employer specific. He managed to get it just before they added the employer compliance fee last year with his PNP nomination certificate. His first two WP'S were open because he was on IEC work permits. It was with the EIC permits that he was able to get a job and qualify for MPNP once he had 6 months of full time work and a permanent job offer.

We are sure he will get PR soon but it is nice to know that we don't have to feel stressed about it. The notification said his WP will be good until March 2017. We can just relax and wait for his PPR.

That's true...It is so frustrating... I am also April 27...and no PPR request.
My only idea is that we have different officers, and ours is slower than the one who released PPR on Tuesday for that group..

Hi all, can anyone advice if one can leave his current employer while PR application is in process, granted that his/her PNP nomination was granted NO restrictions on his PNP nomination? Or do I have to remain with my current employer until receiving PR?

We asked PNP office about this and they said if there are no restrictions you can change jobs but must inform them. My consern would be that making any kind of change could cause a delay in your application. So I think you need to decide for yourself if the job is worth the risk of delaying your PR. You are a May applicant so chances are you will have PR in the next two months.

Also do you have an open WP right now?

Maybe we should send them box of Red Bull to speed up a little bit. Few boxes will be better though.

Hi All,

I applied for PNP under AINP Post Graduate Worker Category in August 2015. Got my AOR in november 2015 and also submitted my RPRF. I have just received a job offer from another employer and I'm wondering if its gonna affect my PR application if I change the job ? The offer I received is also from an Alberta employer. Please help :(
