Hi Guys
can any one give me advice:

I am June applicant. I got a email from CIC today, they ask me to provide the ORIGINAL AND RECENT police certificate from Russia.
I am not Russian however I studied and worked in there for couple of years from 2005 to 2010. then I came back to my home country in 2011, I understand I have to provide police clearance from any country that I stayed more than 6 months, which I already did in 2011 and I applied police certificate in Russian embassy of my home country. So the police certificate showed non criminal record until 2011. Between 2011-2013, I went to Russia again just for a couple of times for business trip but every time only few day in there.
When I applied the PR last year, I submitted the original police certificate from Russia(which i did in 2011) to CIC, but today they still ask me to send the ORIGINAL AND RECENT police certificate from Russia, I am confused now, does it mean i have to send another Police Clearance between 2011 to 2013? Or the police certificate which I did in 2011 is too early, I have to redo it again? Today I called CIC , but the agent not really helpful, just told me follow instruction provide it again.

Guys, please give me some advice, I will really appreciate

I lived in Europe as well for a few years but I got the police clearance certificate from the respective country's consulate in Ottawa. Apply at the Russian consulate and see what they say. Remember it can take anywhere from 1 month to 2 months, depending on how fast they work. You should have gone through all the documents in the checklist properly and this delay could have been avoided.

Best wishes.

Hi,

I am sorry to hear this week is a hell one yet.
Hopefully, you will have great news by this month!

Good luck

Hello Redwater, I only have 3 lines on EACS. CIC never requested my any other documents. How about you? I am so worried about it.

Hi BC Dudu,

my timeline:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on April 13, 2015.

2. We started processing your application on July 7, 2015.
3. Medical results have been received on Jan 7, 2016.
4. We sent you correspondence on January 14, 2016. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. (they received the requested my police check on 12 Feb, 2016)

I think that you're waiting DM and PPR, if they request a documents, they ll send email to you around 1 or 2 week after medical results received

Hello Redwater,

Thank you so much! Your answer is really helpful for me! My timeline is as followed:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on April 14, 2015.
2. We started processing your application on July 9, 2015.
3. Medical results have been received (Dec. 23rd, 2015).

They do not request any additional document from me. My Police check from Canada was done on Mar. 26th, 2015. I worried whether it will be expired soon on Mar. 26th, 2016?

Hope we can hear the good news very soon! The waiting journey is so painful~~

Hi Varmeh,

Thank you for your reply! We should be fine. What kind of additional documents do they asked?

I am April 15 applicant. They required me provide schedule A on Jan 12. When I received my notes generated on Jan 29, one of parts of criminality has status "Submit - Delay", which I think because we have to provide additional doc at the late stage, our processing time may take a bit longer than other applicants that don't have to. So just be patient!!

You have to provide another Police Certificate, CIC accepts only the most recent Police certificate regardless of whether you went to that country again or not. My situation is very similar to yours. I live in the UK for 6 years from 2007 to late 2012. When I came here on 2013 to study, I provided a Police certificate that I got that time. I had to re-apply for the same police certificate (had to spend $240) again in June 2015 during my PR application even though I didn't go to the UK since I came here. Obviously, If I haven't been there after coming here I won't have any criminal records. But as we all know the way CIC sometimes work is mysterious and has no logic. So the answer to your question is simply apply for another Russian Police Certificate

Hi PMC89,
Thank you for replying! It's really helpful. I already contact the Russia embassy this morning. Thanks again! good luck for both of us!

cic is taking one long nap

Its kinda funny how they send multiple ppr one week, everyone gets their hopes high and then they disappear for some time, cic ppl are experts in playing hide and seek, lol, lets hope next week is a good one!! Good luck to all..
