Hi. I am July, 9th applicant. I have only 2 weeks before my work permit will expire. My online application for extension is ready for submit, but I'm not sure what to do. Of course, I can wait for another week before submitting and hopefully to get PPR, but what do you think an immigration officer will ask me on the border, if I'll have all documents for landing, but my WP will be expired?!

I think you should call cic and let them know, since your date is almost close. I believe you will get it before your WP expires. Also when you have immigration visa on passport for landing. All they do is tear up your old WP or student permits; that's what happened when my friend did her landing because then you enter Canada as a permanent resident.

guys any one has any idea which is the nearest USA border with Saskatchewan. I know about North portal but I also heard that there are another one border? If anyone knows can u pls explain.
Any please guide me do I need to take any document from my employer or Bank statement when I go for landing?

Hi there, Coutts border which will be closer to that. It is suggested that you take all your previous student or work permits with since they will land you as a Canadian permanent resident. When my friend did hers they only ask for previous WP and SP nothing else. Hope this helps.

I received my passport back after PR visa . I haven't done landing yet, please suggest..

Is this possible to go back home without doing landing here and use PR visa while coming back and do landing at airport . as my current status in Canada is Work permit and donot have Temporary resident visa.

Donot want to wait forPR card to go back home .

I would suggest that do ur landing first and than go to your home country. You don't need to wait for PR card. Upon your landing, you can get a letter issued from the border (i guess) and you can use that letter to enter canada. I think this will be the safest way to be double sure of being PR, cuz u never know what may happen and because of any unforeseen circumstances you don't want to chance for landing. Rest is ur choice. Gud luck!

It all started on sept 23rd...... I told you guys that ppr rain is coming.... and the reason is because they have put hold on refugee applications right now.....
