Next step is to wait for the acknowledgement of receipt (AOR) from CIO. Currently it's taking around 2 months to get AOR so most probably you will get your AOR by early September

Hi all, i got my xep yesterday !! App reach on april 30th inland app!
But i have a ques !! Is that AOR?? Bcs the mail i got its write:
Your application has now been placed into processing.

X This correspondence also acknowledges receipt of your fee payment.


Whats that mean anyone can explain???
Can we apply for a bridge work permit on basis of this AOR?

I guess no..xep is just the temporary no issued by CIO after initial review of your file and the payment..when u get ep, your information will be entered to their system with the proper receipt number of payment....at that point only u r eligible to apply for bridging open work permit..BUT as per the current scenario,work permit application takes around 98 days to process..U can expect your EP file no before that for sure..so.. if your work permit is about to expire very soon it wont be a bad idea to apply with the current xep...when they process it,they might ask for additional document as ep..If you have permit for about 2 months or more, u better wait for EP..

Hello:

I got my PNP on April 16th
submitted my application to CIC on May 1st
got a $300 deducted on my Visa (Citizenship and Immigration ON-LINE Ottawa) on June 30th.
got XEP on July 6th..

How is it only $300 ???

thanks for reply bro! but my case is more complicated then you think!
my work permit expired in jan and i apply for restoration in april , nothing get on restoration yet! in mean time i got pnp and apply at cio got file number! now thing is that how i can get workpermit! i apply restoration as a visitor!

sorry it is no clear yet...first of all,which province???.did u apply for a work permit already? did u place your restoration application with the extra $200 before 90 days time period of the status expiry?? restoration took about 5 months for my frnd...so dnt worry...why couldnt you apply with ur work permit support letter from the pnp and obtain a closed work permit at least and be safe...
