Congrats, I got IP on March 12 and still waiting patiently.....with CIC You Never know, I sure its a great relief for you.

As any of you guys purchased any Duty free alcohol while landing from carway or any other border? I am planning to get some of it but re entering canada right away. I believe I have to pay customs on declaring that I am not spending time in states for more then 24 hrs. I believe it shouldn't be a trouble.

I'm hoping those who got PPR on April 10, will post here to update if they have mailed and received their passports back with CoPR.

Reason is, I got my PPR on April 10 but have been unable to mail my passport to CIC as I am currently traveling. I want to mail my passport on April 27...but have an international trip I just cannot miss on May 15...will it be safe in getting the passport back in time? Has anyone written a letter along with the passport explaining situation and requesting urgent processing of CoPR and visa stamp?

Yes write a letter for explanation. Make sure they receive your passport in 30 days of PPR received otherwise they will refuse it ( read your PPR)

I got my passport back in a week. They received it on 13 April and got back on 22 April but some of my friends got it back in 3 weeks too. It's a mystery.

Ok I will...I had emailed CIC early last week asking for extension to the 30 days...but haven't heard back from them yet...

Hoping others who have gotten their passports over 2 weeks will update here so that way I will have some peace of mind if I end up mailing my passport out on Monday!

May I know which documents were asked so many times??

The first Document in Oct 2014 was my Spouse's Canadian Police Certificate which was sent same month and the second one requested March 9 was her Police Certificate from the UK.

You will get RPRF request from your visa office.
