They ask for 6 months so they know that the money is actually yours and not just money you borrowed for a short term from someone else to make it look like you have the money. So if a few months ago you had very little money in your account and then all of a sudden there was a large deposit into your account they will question where the money came from.

No. I haven't received RPRF request yet?, and also CIC didn't ask for another PCC. My File transferred to Ottawa on April 07/2015 and they are doing security and background check. Therefore, i think i will get MR and RPRF request together in a weeks time.

I think that eventually we all having same initial timelines will get our PRs around the same time.

Do i have to Give the Ielts exam again to complete the requirement or i can submit my Old ielts ? and how about the PC from Uk and Pakistani ?

Actually, the bank statement requirement made me to worry because i don't have what i stated initially on the forms (6.5k) because i had to pay off some debt back home, although my account gets credited every semi-monthly from my employer.

So, what i make from your comment is that they want to know if one is receiving salary from their employer on a constant basis, and to make sure a large sum of money is not borrowed.
I guess i now should accumulate enough to cover my *ss. LOL

As long as you have the funds when you Land. Also I think I read someplace that if you are already working or have a job offer in Canada that they only ask for proof of employment or job offer and proof of funds is not required. Although my BF is keeping his money in his savings just to make sure even though he works in Canada already.

I found a link where it talks about proof of funds for EE. I am sure the same rules apply for any person getting PR.

Unless you are currently authorized to work in Canada and have a valid job offer from an employer in Canada, you must show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family after you get to Canada.

Well, valid job offers technically refers to offer w/LMIA. But I believe that for applicants that submit applications with job letter and pay slips, they won't ask us for bank statements. Especially on PNP. We'll have to wait and see, but I hardly see CIC contacting me about if I have money, even though I don't have LMIA.

This particular applicant is from London visa office. I feel every visa office has its own requirements. I too have not been able to maintain the amount that I showed initially. Though before landing I will try to have somewhat closer to the 10k fig. they want.

IELTS - You don't have to take the test again (if that's what you mean) IF your test date is 2 years or less from the date your application was received. I'll just send them the old one.

Bank statements - It appears that your file was picked either for general or high-risk country audit. They just want to re-verify information for your nomination. It audits the nominating province's diligence and audits your truthfulness. Make sure your documents match what you originally sent them. If anything has changed, include the old and the new.

All the best :)

Many applicants received their MRs within 2 weeks after receiving their AORs. It's more than a month now for you, so I think you should contact CIC.
Called them..same "please be patient" advice :(
