URGENT SUGGESTION NEEDED !!

I am in that unlucky batch, still waiting for MR, and got AoR after 10 months. Wondering if I can pay the landing fees without their request, it's gonna save some time.

What do you guys thing? Moreover, can you share the procedure to send the landing fees as-well? Thanks.

Yes you can. I already did to do the same.

Paid it and sent the receipt to 4 email addresses. CIO, CPP, cio-cost-recovery @ cic.gc.ca and cppo-cost-recovery @ cic.gc.ca

I am in the same boat. I feel like crying sometimes that why me? My file was received in May, but yet, I haven't gotten a MR yet. This is ridiculous. All of my friends are 3-4 levels ahead of me, though they had applied after me.

Wow - that's tough. Welcome to the Waiters Club my friend 8). Tried sending CIC a friendly email ?

Live like a Candle ( CIC) who doesn't just burn itself but also give light to others!

Give us PR!

We can do something constructive like send out an email to the Minister of immigration himself since all CIC is going to do is copy and paste the draft template that they have "asking for your patience". :P

We would have to send out individually with our individual details but the main template of the email would be the same. (i.e. still waiting, increase the number of immigration officers, increase the number of shifts they take, let us move on with our lives, etc etc)

Yes as _MK_ said. But I don't know if it will save your time or not. I paid it upfront and I'm still waiting in pain. The other thing I realize that if you can wait until you have RPRF request, you can see they are processing your application.

So, what's recommended then? Pay it now or wait for it? :-\

Just to give a comparison, I paid my RPRF upfront and got IP on Apr 9.

mj_paredes from the July thread applied on the same day I did (http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/pnp-pr-july-2014-batch-t265276.0.html). He got RPRF request on Apr 8, and paid it right away. Two days later his ECAS turned to IP, and it says the processing already started Apr 8.

So it seems like waiting for the request won't slow down the processing. But this is just one example, so obviously there's no way of being sure.

I think it is not recommended to pay when your application is already submitted you could have paid it with the application, but now if you pay you will need to email them the receipt and not sure what they might think of this that someone is trying to get ahead, a lot of people pay upfront and not during the process until requested to do so. So I would suggest wait for the request,

Hi Randy.Orton,
Sorry for confusing you. BC PNP/ CIC told me if I paid it upfront will save "some time", some friends told me the same. Honestly, after a long time of waiting, I somehow feel stupid when I paid it upfront. After the Medical request (August), I heard nothing from them, my application status's still the same for 7-8 months. So in my opinion, if your application is simple, you should pay it upfront, if you have complicated situation (Lived many places more than 6 months, change name/ change address many times, have dependents, etc...) you should wait until they ask you for RPRF because you will know they are working on your application.

There is nothing that says it will process faster. Reason I did was that it takes a few days(upto a week) or so from the time you pay and email them receipt for them to attach it to your application. I do not know whether they work on other parts of the application after they send you the rprf request. If they dont, you save a few days, if they do then it doesnt affect processing time. In the grand scheme of things it probably doesnt matter much since we have been already been waiting for close to a year now, a few more days wont make much of an impact.

I would rather my application avoid a stop at one more government employees' desk. They are already overcapacity with so many EE applications and likely not very efficient.

Seems like everyone is getting so confused and worried about paying RPRF fee upfront or if they should pay only half fee in the beginning.
Your file process will only start when CIC is ready for you file or when they want.

Here is the thing
-If you pay RPRF unpront it will save CIC an email and you sending an email in return for receipt and confirmation that you paid.
- If you only pay half fee, CIC will email you when they receive your file at Ottawa office and will ask you for $$ RPRF fee before an officer even touch your file.

It will be in an order and not faster or slower.
Rest when they start you file it depends on each file how long it will talk. Your medical, your job, province, PCC and time with your country visa office. All these things. Correct me if I am wrong.

I paid my fee on Feb 06,2015 and got IP on March 27- PPR on April 11. Where as my friend in AB paid RPRF on feb 13 and got IP on March 01 and no PPR yet. Wierd ehhh
