Still waiting ... :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[
dgh and other December 2014 applicants:

If you haven't done it already, I'd suggest call CIC and talk to an agent about your case. Out of the same frustration, I called CIC 2 weeks ago regarding the application and to ask if there is any document etc. which they might be waiting for. The agent confirmed that nothing was awaited and he was actually little surprised saying that I should have received the passport request by then since everything was in order. He said that he cannot expedite the process but will surely send a reminder to CIC. Sure enough, I got PPR the same evening. It might be just a coincidence for my case, but I'd say worth a try. Please call at right 8 in the morning. Hopefully the wait time won't be more than a few minutes.

I hope it turns positive very soon for all of people who are waiting.

Cheers

Dear Senior's,

I need your urgent advise please:
I want to send my & my family (total four persons) new passport copies to CIO.
But I can't upload in one CSE due to size limitation.
Can some one advise me what is the solution?
Is it OK to send four CSEs for four persons??

Option 1. Reduce the resolution and send it in 2 files. You just need to send front and back page for each passport.
Option 2. yes you can send multiple cse.

If you want to make use of the process efficiently, not much delay and want to get it updated together then you should do it in one cse.
I sent 12 images in 2 word documents to raise one cse. Dont be in hurry instead try to get your files ready to put it in 2 files max for one cse.

One of my friends applied for MPNP but did not disclose his Previous device that occurred around 2 years before he applied for MPNP application. Will there be any problem in future due to not disclosing the previous divorce? Will it be considered as MISREPRESENTATION?

Use this link to compress your documents and get it in smaller size.

Hi All, I am stuck in a dilemma here and would appreciate your help. I have travel plans for Australia late March and as you all know we won't have our PR cards for another 105 days. I am aware of the PRTD document that you can apply from outside of Canada but have decided to use that as my last option to come back to Canada.(It could take 1-3 weeks and I don't want to stress over it when I am at the beach). I am not from a Visa-Exempt Country. Here is an option that I need your advice about: I book my return ticket from Aus to Seattle (I have USA visa) and get a friend to pick me up from Seattle and cross the border by ROAD. Do you guys know what the policy is when returning via road. I couldn't find anything online. The only concern with this option is what if Australian authorities don't let me board the plane because I don't have PRTD. Technically, I will be going to Seattle and have USA visa which allows me to do so. If they ask me where are you from, I have to say Canada but I am planning to say that I am visiting a friend in Seattle and then driving over to Vancouver which should be none of their business as I am going to USA which I am allowed to. Let me know you guys think? Is it possible? Too risky?

Thank you so much

Maxy81,

When you travel by road, you don't need PR card. (I think) you will be good with COPR document. See these links:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=064&t=10
http://www.cbsa.gc.ca/travel-voyage/td-dv-eng.html
http://settlement.org/ontario/immigration-citizenship/landing-and-leaving/leaving-canada/i-need-to-leave-canada-but-do-not-have-my-pr-card-yet-what-should-i-do/
For further confirmation, call CIC and ask them for the exact document you need to carry.

If you are going to US from Australia, why would Australian authorities be concerned about your Canada plans? Why do you need to tell them? I think your plan is fool proof and you can go with it. Good luck :)
