Hi there. When CIC gives us a Due Date, you need to understand that it's an estimate of the entire process (till the moment you get your PR Card) and not for one single step. When I received my GCMS notes for the second time, it said that my due date was May 2016. I believe that I will get my PR Card before that time.. So now you do the math :)

Cheer up and have patience coz you are going to need it.. We all went through those phases and its time to reap the benefits. You can do this! ;)

Good luck.

Oh man!

Now I got it. It means my entire PR process will take this time.

Thanks for putting smile on my face ;)

What is the paper file location? If it is PV2-JAN, there is a hope.

location is PS. the last time there was a movement of the application was august 28 it happens to be the time ecas changed to IP. if the the location was not PV2 then it means I will be in a long process?

PS is pre-screening, because still checking eligibility probably.
I would require more info from CIC agent. "Still in CIO" is not an answer, just words without any value.

what are they checking in the eligibility? is it because I was on restoration before nd my nomination was under employee driven stream?

As per my opinion. 1 year due date is given in gcms notes once they received your medicals. And you can do landing before that period. So once you receive your Passport back you going to see the landing due date that's going to be in may 2016.

No, its for all. But i too wonder what will they check for pnp applicants.

congratulations to everyone!

on the other side, I have received my atip and to my surprise the notes were the same as what I have ordered last October. thus, no movement since then. security not started, eligibility in progress, medical and criminality passed.

I called cic today, the agent who opened my file said it's still in CIO. I was thinking my application was just left in one side and forgot about it. everybody is receiving decision exept me...

Your time is coming too, GreenLemon. Please have a little more patience and before you know it, this will all be behind you :) Good times are right on the horizon :) I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you..

Thanks for doing that Kaladhar. I was thinking to ask it and you did it :)

Adding 2 cents to what Kaladhar has written:

2. Valid Work/Study/Visitors Visa Permit(s) or Proof of application (fee receipt/confirmation from CIC etc.) for extension of status [RED][High Priority][/RED]

Cheers

You're welcome, Vsw :)

Hi Everyone,

I have officially landed as of yesterday. Was an interesting, yet painless process.

1. Drove to the US border, request to flagpole (I did not receive anything as I am a US citizen)
2. Turned around and notified Canadian Border of Landing completion
3. Went inside and provided COPR, Passports and current documentation
4. They call you up and ask you a few questions and then process the paperwork
5. Voila, process completed

Good Luck to those still waiting. My original application was received on December 23, 2014.

Did they ask for any financial documents?

I had included financial documents and sent them in with the original application. There is a specific form you must complete verifying funds.

Cool. I did that with mine too. Just wanted to know if they ask at the border.

They didnt ask when I went. One thing they will want is something formal to ensure your current address i.e. drivers license.
