Hi! I am in the process of finalising my docs for submission to CIC. My only problem now is the payment, may I ask what option did you take in paying the fees, did you pay it online using credit card? Thanks !greenlemon said:location is PS. the last time there was a movement of the application was august 28 it happens to be the time ecas changed to IP. if the the location was not PV2 then it means I will be in a long process?

Thanks for your swift reply! What about the conversion, I mean I'm from Philippines, so how much in peso should i charge to my credit card and also i don't need to fill up the payment from, right? I just have to print the receipt and send it together with all the docs requested.kaladhar said:Yes, Credit Card
You have to make payment in CAD. Then your bank will charge you in PHP. If you make online payment from CIC website, the system will return to you a receipt. You will forward that receipt to Manila VO. You can find all instructions in the RPRF requestgalaniel said:Thanks for your swift reply! You're welcome. Adding to what HTokyo has said, if you like to know how much its going to cost you in your currency, check this website: www.xe.com. But apart from that its pretty straight-forward. You don't have to concern yourself with currency conversions when you are paying by CC. Make sure to print two copies of the receipt. One for your records and one to include in your CIC application packet.galaniel said:Thanks for your swift reply! Don't forget the fees though! xe.com will give you the direct rates, but your actual bank will probably do the conversion at a higher rate (so it costs you more) or charge flat fees on top (or both). Check with your bank if you want to know exactly what the conversion will be. Although xe.com is a fantastic website!!! I check it almost daily as I still have currency in multiple countries, and it's handy to work out which one is the best to use when I'm purchasing something.kaladhar said:You're welcome. Thanks for the reply, usually how long does it take to get the passport back? Any idea?kaladhar said:Passport Request on Jan 11th
Sent it on Jan 11th
CIC received it on Jan 18th (Supposed to reach on the 14th since Xpresspost takes 3 days time but Canada Post complicated it by sending my packet to Regina instead of Ottawa After a few calls, I sorted it out and hence it took an additional 3 days to reach Ottawa)
