I ordered the GCMS notes on August 31st, and got the notes on Sept 28th, at that time, the last time they updated my eligibility check was in May and not started yet.
only criminality check was in progress. I ordered another one yesterday, hope to get it before Christmas, I don't know why that was not started, consider I have the
nomination letter and all the stuff.

That's really weird. If they haven't started eligibility, then how did you get AOR and medical? I don't understand CIC policy, well I guess nobody does. My Ecas shows only 5 lines and last line shows medical received. I didn't receive any request for additional document or whatsoever and I am on IP since August 19th. I have no idea what's going on with my application. I ordered my GCMS notes on 6th Nov but haven't heard anything. I guess they will reply after 30 days.

I hope they just forgot to update :(, consider the last update time was the day I got my AOR...
we have similar timeline! I don't have additional doc request either! and same date of IP!

Things are little frustrating now for me. I am Dec 11 applicant. My status is still In process.
Last update was Aug 26th, they asked for schedule A form which was received by them in a week. No updates after that. :(
How many Dec applicants are still waiting for DM or PPR? any suggestions for me?

All,

I am DEC19 applicant and I passed eligibility and the rest sometime in Sept2015 (security is not started yet). So don't worry if you are a Jan2015 applicant and you don't see the eligibility pass in your Aug2015 GCMS note. You should see this now.

For most of us who are waiting, everything is passed and we are just waiting for security to start. I see even Sept2014 applicant didn't get PPR yet and are waiting. Bellow are some good info which I posted before and I am re-posting it regarding security check:

1- I just find out that for some nationalities CIC doesn't request security check through CSIS which makes their application a lot faster (CIC will run the security check which is not that deep). For other people, they will request a security check which will take 3 to 6 months.
2- The security check is out of CIC hands, so even if you call them they cannot give you more information. You just have to wait.
3- if you received your GCMS note, you will see that the security check is not started or is in process and the due date for that to complete is exactly at 15 months from when CIC received your application. Interesting...
4- However, this doesn't mean that it will take 15 months for sure. The security check result might come faster than that.
5- You can order your GCMS note online and you will receive it by email. it will take 30 to 35 days.

So security might take longer for most of us.
Also PV2-JAN is a code and doesn't mean that you will get permanent visa request in January.

Hello all,

I know its silly question but want to be sure. Do i need to attach my certifcates of grade 10,12 and canadian education transcripts with my application.

Nope, you dont need to..
Follow the checklist and only send the documents that CIC has asked you to send..

pshah,

Probably only suggestion is relax. If it gives you some comfort, most of the last Dec applicants are in the same position as yours. I have been in IP since first week of Sep and am stuck into security step.

And hey Chamone, I guess dgh is right. PV2 means Provincial Nominee being processed abroad. Probably -JAN refers to the location where the application is being processed. God know which location it could mean. I think it would be different for all of us (probably) based upon nationality.

Well, I just pray this endless thing is over soon and we can get to planning long term things without having to check application status every morning and evening. Good luck to all!!

I'm PV2 category and my application was 100% inland. It just means provincial nominee... doesn't tell you anything else.

Thanks for pointing out some important points. You are right about security check which as you said CIC doesn't have any control over. I think CIC is putting out most of their resources now into the Syrian regresses' issue and I don't see ourselves getting anything before January.

Same here. We both have almost identical timeline. Give me a shout out if you get your new GCMS notes.

Thanks Melanie. I hope we will get DM and PPR within January. I don't see them coming during this festive season :(
By the way, does it take more than 30 days or less than 30 days to get GCMS notes?

It took me around 29 days to get it.
But my agent said there might have a chance before they have a break for Christmas, as they might need to catch up the Quota for the year.
So, let's hope for it...

Hey guys,

Let's say, if I lost my current job as an engineer and I found some other type of job which might be a lower level than engineering,
will it be okay?
I heard people saying that you can only move up but not down, while my agent said it's fine as long as you qualify, I have open work permit with no restriction.
and my nomination is AINP under engineering stream but on the nomination letter it says, without job offer, no restriction on employment.
please share your advice, thank you all!
