No updates this Tuesday for me.. Dec 20th Applicant... This is so frustrating...trying to keep up my spirits.. my work permit expires on nov 19 2015.. should i apply for an extension or just wait!!!! :'( :'( :-\ :-\ :-X :-X ???

i suggestion to you don't apply work permit extension until November 2015. if u are living in Canada than you can also apply for new work permit at Canada-US Border. Canadian Immigration Officer can issue work permit at Canada-US Border on same day so it's better to apply work at border instead applying online or paper application at CIC. If you apply online or paper application to get extension of your work permit you have to wait for more than 100 days or may be more days because nowadays they are increasing processing time for work permit.
They process PNP base PR Application within 11 Month so hopefully you will get Passport Request before November. If you need any help let me know related to get extension Work Permit.

I did that 2 weeks ago. I had a second support letter from PNP, had paid the new employer fee and had the job offer form... But the officer told me they only do new work permits, not extensions.

Anyway I think I she was going to do it but then asked If I had a written letter from my employer stating that I still work there. I didnt have it because already had all the other documents... Didnt really make sense asking for that...

Another member of the forum had similar situation and didnt get it either. So...I guess like always depends on the mood of the officer but looks like they dont do extensions or dont like to do it now.

My ECAS updated in the last couple of hours (because that's how frequently I've been checking it). Now says In Process on the main screen! New line added so the details are as follows:

Permanent Residence
1. We received your application for permanent residence on December 11, 2014.
2. We started processing your application on April 30, 2015.
3. Medical results have been received.

April 30th was the date that I was sent my EP AOR email.

WOOOOO! ;D

Today I have an update on ecas like this

3. We sent you correspondence on July 14, 2015. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
4. Medical results have been received.

I received Police Certificate and RPRF request on 14 July as they state but I send them these documents both by courier and by email and they were received in 30-July

Does this update means that they didn't receive these documents

I am much worried about this issue

No, for closed work permit based on PNP nomination. I mean for extension of this.


By the way, December 18 applicant here. Still no news after medical received.

If I were you, I would definitely call CIC call centre once @ 1888-242-2100 and clear things up! The sooner the better..

Please Advise

No, that doesn't mean they didn't receive your documents or RPRF. If you call them they won't tell you the status. The best way to clear all this doubts is to apply for GCMS notes. You will get them in One month but it will have lot of info and will clear most of your doubts. So would suggest instead of calling them apply for GCMS notes. And don't be worried they receive all the documents.

I just noticed you asked the same question back! I'm Pacific time. My ECAS updated sometime between 9:30pm and 11:30pm last night.
