Thanks for posting Ansh619, that's some great first hand information! Interesting to see that even though the officer said the standard response of "16 months", he also said that you shouldn't expect anything before November (which is only 11 months). I know he chose his words carefully and left the possibility open that it will be a lot later than November, but this I think is still very positive that they are maybe moving faster than the stated timeframe right now. :)

Can I ask what phone number you called to confirm this info?
I called on their regular call center number 18882422100

Hello guys,

I called CIC today to confirm about the RPRF payment. I sent them my receipt last month. The representative confirmed that the payment has been attached to my file. I happened to ask him if this is going to help my file to move quickly. He clearly mention CIC is still following the appropriate timeline dedicated to the PNP class. He mentioned if I have got my medicals a bit early dose not make me qualified to be in front row to pick my file for reviewing/processing and make the officer send us passport request or document request. I asked him most of the August applicants are getting their passport requests so the answer was "As I am a December applicant I should not expect anything sooner for passport request until November. The officers are strictly following the timeline. 16 months is the current processing time and if there are any changes CIC will update o their website." This has helped my curiosity come down a bit and wait till November for passport request if everything goes well. If sticking to timeline may make us expect any decision soon and relieves our anxiety. Any positive surprises will surely make us happy.

All the best everyone!!!!
It is said 16 months in the processing times list..but the web site also says that cic aims to process pnp applications within 11 months right now..that is what happening now..some of them even got passport request in 9 months too..

May be that's the reason the representative mentioned not to expect passport request before November keeping in mind the 11 month processing schedule.

Even I have received the email just now. It is actually just a remainder email notifying us to submit if any of the mentioned documents are missing. The passport they mentioned is just a photocopy of our passports. For any details you have to call CIC and ask if the RPRF (if paid upfront) is attached to your file and whether your schedule A and police certificate is present with your application. I called them and confirmed about my documents. They mentioned its just remainder and you can ignore.

*** I am not exactly sure if we have to submit police clearance certificate from Canada (RCMP) or not.***
Can anyone please confirm if we have to submit the Canadian police clearance if we are inland applicants?

I also got the letter! Looks like it's a generic letter that everyone gets, and not necessarily specific to our individual cases, so I'm not sure if it means there is missing information that we need to action, or if it's safe to ignore it. I've been saying I'll call them for a while now, so I guess this is a good excuse to get in touch. I'll let you guys know what I find out (if anything).
