Hi. I am also waiting for approval of the extension of my work permit. Applied on March 18. First time I applied my application was refused but i could still continue working as my old work permit was still valid. So if you get refused and your old/current work permit is still valid, you need to reapply ASAP to be on IMPLIED STATUS. So if you reapply before you work permit expires you are fine and can continue working. If the second time you apply and you get refused then you need to stop working that moment and will be in RESTORATION period. I dont know the answer to my application yet (even tho they're working on applications sent after March 20) cos they asked me for additional documents from AINP office and only gave me 5 business days to get it. I got it in the last minute, uploaded it and now waiting again..

Hi. I am in the same situation as you. They contacted me to provide NEW support letter from AINP and only gave me 5 business days to do it. My manager told me they dont ask this from everyone and AINP said this is something new from CIC again. Let me know if they asked you also plz. I submitted the new support letters on Friday afternoon but still no answer about decision... and btw since you had no file # when you applied you can only get get closed work permit. I hope you didnt choose that you are applying for Open WP in the questionaire cos thats what i did the first time and that was the reason they refused me. You needed to select LMIA exempt extension or smthing i cant remember now...

Hey Michelle888 my WP got expired on 22nd of may ......but i applied for extension on 28th of March that time mt AINP and work permit time was valid but today both is not valid ..........i attached support letter from AINP I DONT KNOW ON WHAT GROUND THEY CAN REFUSED ALSO WHEN I APPLIED FOR extension that time my file number was not generated so i applied with all procedure of new rule which got change for emplyoer with $230 fees so i dont know i will get close or open.......watever but i need to get this....waiting is horrible....

It looks like Oct and some of the Nov applicants are getting their RPRF and in some cases Passport Request!!

anybody here from December applicants who didn't have any medical updates yet in ECAS? mine is still saying "Application Received."

i'm a little concerned as i think this has something to do with my wife not taking the medical exam because she already took it when she applied for work permit visa. we've reached out to CIC and they told us that the we just need to send the confirmation from the panel physician that she already took the medical exam when she applied for work permit last january.

does this mean we're not going to get approved?

I am in same situation, still my ECAS saying "Application Received". My wife and son both did their medical for work permit and visa extension respectively, but only to make it no more complicated for them we all did our medical last month and submitted by doctor but still no confirmation from CIC.

Hi All,

After my application for PR, I got a contract job for 6 months.
So I emailed CIO Sydney mentioning status change in application and provided them my job contract before 1 month.

Now, I just received an email from CIO Sydney mentioning "In reference to your new position/employer, please contact the Province which had provided your nomination certificate and advise their office."

I am an Ontario applicant. should I forward them same email that I emailed to CIO Sydney?

i also called CIC and they told me i just have to trust that they received my wife's medical exam confirmation from her panel physician when she had her medical exam for work permit. should we be worried about this then?

I done with medical on 13th June and 3rd line (Medical results recd) has been updated on 20th June. RPRF DD sent on 13th June and got encased on 25th June.

Do u have any idea when can i get PPR??

i have got request for RPRF, SCHEDULE-A, POLICE CERTIFICATE and COPY OF PASSPORT from CIO Sydney, Nova Scotia.
i am going to pay RPRF today and rest documents going to send them in a week.
my timeline is:-
BC PNP Inland Applicant
CIO Nova Scotia, Sydney - Application received for PR on December 1,2014.
FIRST EMAIL- with XEP on April 15, 2015.
SECOND EMAIL- XEP AOR on April 24, 2015.
THIRD EMAIL -with UCI & EP on April 28, 2015.
MEDICAL REQUEST - on April 30, 2015.
MEDICAL DONE by me in BRITISH COLUMBIA on may 04, 2015.
MEDICAL DONE by Spouse in INDIA on may 06, 2015.
ECAS Update Showing on may 13, 2015 - Medical results have been received.
RPRF and Schedule Request on :- 02 JULY 2015.
