To those who have a OUTLAND dependent:

How do you send your dependents passport to CIC after PPR request?

Should i wait until we get PPR and then email them to change office
or
Should I ask my wife to send her passport to me so that I can send both our passport and pictures together?

I just dont want to delay after we get PPR request.

Thank you

Hi to all remain January applicants

Please update here if you got something from CIC.
My Work permit will be expired on October. When should I apply to extent it?

For the remaining January applicants, can you look at the date modified on ecas? mine switched to may 2nd 2016
This is related to the website update which is not related to anything on the candidates' applications.
Please order your gcms to know more on whats happening. What does your gcms say?

[Hi all

My work permit will expire on October. When I try to find the processing time of extending open work permit, I could not find proper processing time.
Does anybody know that how long does it take? I saw 21days . Is it right?
Thanks

I wonder why some January applicants are left behind..

Would this be because they travelled many countries?
Country of origin? I heard that many people from the gulf do not stay in Canada after they land, maybe CIC decided to look closely on those new applicants from that region -- I know it isn't fair on the new applicants.
Do you have any health problem or your family members?
Any criminal records?
Complicated family composition? Like married divorced remarried step children their children etc.
Do you think your name is similar to someone involved in terrorist groups... (.. probably not..)?
No status in Canada?
Any history of joining military? War forces?
Maybe they just missed them by mistake (which does happen) and that would be really upsetting.

I don't know.. I was thinking about this a lot during my waiting period..

Maybe look into going to an option of going to court. I heard that they process faster if they are in court cases.

good day everyone!

does any of you experience no maximum timeline response on your PR Application? I received this response after making a follow up on my application. my application is over the 15 month period timeline already. Ive read an article that IRCC is trying to finish all paper based applications before september/ october.

does anyone know what to do next?

thanks in advance

I've been called CIC several times and two agents told me the processing time is just an indication and actual time spending would be case specific. All what I was told is to wait til CIC contacts me. Can you please share the link to that article? Thanks!

A must watch for people waiting in Express Entry pool.
The video was recorded on May 7, 2016 at Newcomers Canada Fair, held at the Shaw Conference Centre, in Edmonton and the Speaker works for IRCC (CIC).
Highlights :
1) Current draw size is kept low as CIC still has backlogs of paper based PR applications received before Express Entry.
2) The paper based PR application backlogs are expected to be cleared by Sept/ Oct 2016.
3) Once the backlog is cleared, Express Entry will be the only source of Economic stream PR applications.
4) This will result in higher draw size of 2000-2500 ITAs per draw.
5) ITA cut-off scores will "likely drop below 400" to accommodate higher draw size.
Focus on 2 mins clip between 16:30-18:30 for clarification on above points.

Note : Even though the speaker works for IRCC, please do not treat this as an official announcement

im guessing most of PR applicants here have additional documents request from IRCC. this is what have caused us additional time in processing our applications.

Thanks for sharing! I hope we can get news by the medical expiration date. Waiting til Sep/Oct would be too frustrated...

does this mean that IRCC would likely give an update before the PA's medical report expires?
