Did you applied PNP through EE? why it is too long while the commitment is 6 mths?
It includes 15.5 months for nomination + at the very least 6 months for permanent residency. Personally, I think that cic won`t be able to consider PNP candidate`s cases within claimed 6 months. My eAPR AOR was on March 28, Meds were passed only on July 26, BG is still NA before IP1 and it`s quite common for March applicants... cic has huge PNP backlog now... common sense tells me that PPR by the end of September, when my 6 month period will be over, is something from a fairy tale.

Finally some movement here too. UCI generated, Aditional request of the Schedule A form and IP1 started.

Hi Chente,

When your UCI was generated, did you pass the Medicals too?

Mine was:

August 13- UCI generated; the status of my medical was "We are reviewing the result of your medical exam" and my BG says "You application is in progress. We will contact you when we start your background check". Other status were the same.

August 20- Medical status was the same. However, BG changed to "Not Applicable"

@legalfalcon, Is having a UCI indicates that my file is now being reviewed by a case officer?

Hi, Medical didn't pass yet.
I received the UCI yesterday, and at the same time Aditional document request and BG says "You application is in progress. We will contact you when we start your background check". Normally I see other candidates pass medicals a few days after submit the document requested.

Can anyone explain why PNP applications are processed very slowly? Are fsw applicants getting PPR within 2 to 3 months whereas PNP applicants are waiting more than 6 months to get PPR ? Why this double standard?

this is IP1. your medical should pass at the same time as the UCI generation. They might be a bit late in your case. Once your BG moves to NA, then you know you are headed to Eligibility checks (and security after that).

No one can explain. It is really annoying.

@Aal_,

My BG status says from "You application is in progress. We will contact you when we start your background check" to "Not Applicable". Does this mean I am headed to Eligibility checks already even though I didn't pass my medicals yet?

FYI, I have declared a mild condition during my upfront medicals and I am not sure if this is the reason of my current Medical status (we are reviewing the result of your med.exam). -> this status and my UCI was generated last week and as of this writing, there is no ADR / further medical check-up whatsoever

What does your additional documents say?

"We do not need additional documents"
ok so your R10 should have passed. I am not sure whether they would start eligibility before your meds pass but I don't see why not. Now the long wait starts. you are luckier than previous PNP applicants. I waited 117 days before they even looked at my file.

What exactly happens during the eligibility check? What all they are checking at this stage?

Everything. Your FSW points, CRS points, work, education, age etc ...

R10 was only for completeness check and not going through the documents to check their validity.

I think they can play around with the 80%/6 months commitment. If you look at this http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=673&top=29
they say 6 months for COMPLETE application.

I remember reading on another IRCC page, cannot find it now, that the 6 months is after R10 completeness check. Since my medicals took over 3 months and I assume that is when R10 got done, that means for them to meet 6 months for me they have 9 months. :(

Absolutely. For me took them 117 days for R10
