We are colleagues , I`m also from NS PNP. I applied to the province in Nov 2015, so in total the whole time is getting closer and closer to 2 years...



Exactly!!! In 2015 my wish to immigrate was about 99% now it is not more than 50%.

Yes we are on a same boat.. But I am still motivated and keeping myself up for this fight against time!

What caused delay in your application? @rkeys

I wish I know the cause of delay I emailed my VO after crossing 6 months and they replied that my application is going through bg check and nothing else. I have ordered my first GCMS notes which I will get perhaps by next week.. Let's see if I find any clue in them.

Usually they say long travel history,military service, govt jobs will take time for bgc. Or any other chng in circumstances.
Do share Ur notes when you get them.

You really think it will take that long. So far somehow ircc is able to give in 180 days more or less. I am ok if it's a bit time consuming but after three months not even med update is making me worry. Not sure if they have done completeness chk atleast.

Like you I`m March applicant, March 28 if to be more exact, and like you I don`t have even any medical updates, it is 3 months since AOR. I do hope that all of us will be within 6 months processing time, but the facts say that my and your medical updates will be about the end of summer with the current CIC`s pace, it means only 1 months for all other stages, do you think it is possible? I would like to believe in it but facts stop me. We have only one way to find ourselves within claimed 180 days, it is increasing of CIC`s pace... let`s hope, but my hope has almost gone...

Yes I heard that too.. I do not have military service, govt job etc.. though I have some travel history but not a long from my view..
I will share my notes as soon as I will get them.

They are processing fsw in 3-4 mnths. Also apart from this march onwards delays, even PNPs majority were cleared in 3_4 months. So I don't think that should be an issue. But now it seems they are purposely delaying PNPs. Why would meds take three months to clear. Unless we know the reason cant say if 6 months or a year.

dont forget oinp was delayed for a long time. So they have a big backlog. I think they cannot give PPR to all pnp this year, as that would make them above quota for the year for pnp immigrants. Can someone do some calculations of how many pnp would be landing in 2017 if they gave PPR to all of them?

Look at the link above which I pasted showing targets for 2017.
Fsw,fst,cec have been alloted more this year compared to PNPs. However there is about a 7℅ increase in allocation for PNPs this year.

I personally don't feel they have exhausted the quota, firstly they took a draw especially for fst n pnp recently. Secondly, Ontario started inviting only recently that is after declaration of 2017 targets by ircc, after a gap of almost a year and were busy issuing nomination to the existing applicants.

If ircc exhausted quota for pnp we would see less activity on provincial front, which I don't think is the case.

Ircc should publish some stats to clear confusion. My guess is the bulk nomination Ontario gave out were only post targets declared by ircc and dats why the delay by Oinp to issue.

but the oinp delay would mean more pnp applicants getting AOR approximately at the same time. All in 2017. Which means a lot will land in 2017. so 2015, 2016 and 2017 oinp applicants will land in 2017. Do you see my point here?

Yes true but I guess not all from 2017 will be able to land in 2017 looking at the trend these days.

Hi, luckily I got my GCMS notes today and according to them, I have passed crimiality and eligibility checks in dec.. Since dec, my security screening is under progress and there is no update further on.

You will be completing 6 mnths by end of this month. Have you ordered gcms notes so far

I did, received them last month..nothing interesting..it says "appears to meet requirements..Ready to finalize"..only criminality and medicals passed.
