Hi all,
I am new in this forum but I really want to know your opinions about the best way to proceed with my immigration status.
I am an international student in a one-year master degree. I will finish my master in July and my graduation will be in october.
From that point I understand that I can apply to a postgraduate work permit of one year of length, but with the express entry application I believe I can also apply.

I have a job offer from a consulting firm but I do not have the LMIA, and I don't think the company will pay for it.

What is the best way to proceed?
1. Postgraduate work permit --> PNP --> Open work permit
2. Express entry
3. Postgraduate work permit --> Express entry (once I start working)

I really appreciate all the help and support you might provide.

Thank you.

I believe the first thing you should do is apply for Post Graduate (PG) work permit immediately after graduation. I am not sure about PNP vs Express entry. From what I know Express Entry's processing time is much quicker than going for the PNP option.

I have a similar question people:

I am a Master graduate student I have recieved a PNP certificate from Ontario (applied in August and received my PNP in Feb). I also have a PG work permit and am working full time - don't have LMIA for the post.

Should I apply through PNP or is Express Entry a worthwhile option to pursue for my case (since it's so much quicker)?

Please advise

Go for PNP , that route is jaded..Express entry is new..
Don't wait submit for PR..

If you guys apply PNP already (without job offer under International master's graduate Stream) you will not be eligible under express entry so only method in ontario go with Normal CIC process.

DON'T WASTE TIME FOR EXPRESS ENTRY IT'S ONLY FOR those GET PNP CERTIFIED WITH JOB OFFERS.

Yes that is correct. My initial application file was received by Opportunities Ontario on Sept 4th 2014 and then in Nov 2014 I got notified that the quota for 2014 was filled up and my application would be considered for 2015. And just a couple of days ago I received the PNP certificate.

IF you have LMIA or PNP nomination, you should apply Express Entry. Otherwise, apply PNP.

Hi all.
Didn't want to open a new topic - apologies to admin if I should have
I was wondering if applicant can apply through express entry with a job offer supported by LMIA - actually I know that, but don't know what happens if LMIA expires during the process with express entry? For example if LMO expires in August - would my application be accepted and would I gain points based on that if I apply in June?
Can't find that info anywhere online :/
Thanks
