Your US visa (for that matter any other country's visa) has nothing to do with your immigration status in Canada. Being a PR of Canada doesn't mean anything to USCIS. So you will be good. Where are you visiting by the way?mehandes said:Dear all, I have a question: I had also applied for US visitors visa for a one week visit; do you know if I land before going to US my US visa will be expired or not?
Another Q: how long does it take for CIC to issue visa after passport receipt?

I don't they US authorities will stamp anything on your passport if you're doing flag-poling. They just ask you to fill a form or 2. I may be wrong though. However, you may ask others who have done it. My understanding is the flag-poling procedure doesn't affect your future immigration in any way.mehandes said:Tnx, I meant when people land at the US border (from within Canada), US stamps a rejection in their visa which is part of the landing process; do you guys know this rejection would affect the US visa already on my passport?
Going to Florida...

Your visitor visa, should be at least good for 1 year. You can go in-out several times...
When ever they ask at the border, you can say that you are going back to canada to get your PR status.
They will charge you $7 and admit you to US and then you can drive back from the first traffic lights.
Correct me if I am wrong. That's what I am planning to do as well.
Wow I didnt know that there is a single entry visa for US.Fafool said:It depends that you have multi-entry or single-entry visa. With the single one you can pass the border once, and after that the visa is expired and not usable anymore. I guess he has this situation. So, he wants to keep the validity of his visa when he is landing.
I didnt know that either.Holygun said:Wow I didnt know that there is a single entry visa for US.
Edmontonbound said:@ Bahia... I downloaded the form. Pari123 posted a link here to download the form. I was sent an scanned image file by CPP-O. It wasn't of very good quality. To answer your question, yes you can take a print out, type in your Application number, Name, Surname, Height and Eye color. Remember eye color is never black!
"It is commonly held that black does not truly exist in nature, and that anything appearing black is merely a very dark colour (brown, for instance).billooocheung said:''Remember eye color is never black!''
what does this mean? I wrote "black" in my form. Is it wrong?
Yes, it's incorrect. It can't be black. It could be dark brown. I don't think though it will creat any issues.billooocheung said:''Remember eye color is never black!''
