Mine is still stuck at application received too..almost 18 months wait now...ecas sucks!!

Application Received Date: April 25, 2012
Medical Request : June 7, 2912
RPRF: April 2013
In Processing June 11, 2013
PPR:Sep 10, 2013.

I am a Nova Scotia Applicant. Hope everyone get PPR soon.

I am writing to inquire about my application status. I know that my application is in process and from my understanding from my GCMS notes: Eligibility, Medical and Criminality checks are completed for me and my spouse.
However, since the processing time is well past the average processing time, I wish to make two (2) case specific inquiries:

1. Is the security checks complete for my application as a whole?
2. Is my application ready for final review?

I will indeed appreciate if you can answer my inquiries.

I sent the same two weeks ago and here is the response:

A review of your file indicates that your security is currently in process.
Please note there is no particular reason that delays your application.
We thank you for your understanding and patience.

I'm trying to order GCMS here atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do
(I'm in Canada) What I have to select - Privacy Act or Access to Information Act? Is there difference in information or smth else? Why one is paid and the other isn't?
And further what toselect: Case Files or Corporate records? Thanks!
