The whole process is completely unpredictable !!
You can see November applicants that are getting PPR and we are still waiting.
you may receive something tomorrow or after 2 months.

Well I have a theory why Post June 2012 applicants are getting PPR much quicker.
In my view, Ottawa was not fully functional until June, 2012. Then a few visa offices in the United States were closed in the pretext of more efficient and integrated immigration process. Now, all of a sudden the back log increased (from 2011 to 2011-June 2012). The onus is to prove the new system is in fact more efficient than the previous one (Buffalo).

Now the only way to prove is to bring down the average processing time. And there's only one way to do it, i.e. to process the post June 2012 applicants on a priority basis. Because processing Pre-June 2012 applicants won't bring down the processing time significantly. Once the processing time is brought down, now they can boast about the new system, justify the closure of offices! And nobody will complain if they decide to make us scapegoats.

@Fafool!!!. being In Process this days is a totally different meaning.. Mine is also in process since May 2012..
@ edmontonbound totally agree.. all applicants before june 2012 are in Buffalo's backlog... Very unfair because our files never went to Buffalo..

That "In Process" means nothing.
Mine has become "In process" since March 2012 (More than a year ago).
One of my friends landed last week. We checked his status and still it is "Application received".

Yeah, I completely agree with @ edmontonbound. I think they are trying to lower the processing times by giving priority to pre june 2012 applicants.
That makes me really angry and frustrated. I am a january 2012 applicant. It has been 15 months since my application reached CPP. I was never transfered to buffalo so I don't know why they are taking so long to finish my case. I am stuck in the same job for 2 years and theres nothing I can do.

My partner has done his medical, after I added him to my application, a month ago and still I haven't hear anything. I am going to contact my MP and try to see when this mess will end.

My file is in process since april 11.

Im really mad and dissapointed, I dont even like to look at applicants after us and see everyone under the sun getting ppr except for us. At this point i dont think Ill even be happy when I get my ppr, just relieved this stupid wait will be over.

Meanwhile, is wait and wait.

My husband talked to Mp's assistant yesterday. The lady told my husband that all paper has been updated and BG check is also done.if cic is not communicating with him within the first week of june then let us know..she also mentioned that we stil didnt exceded the 13 months time limit..so we have to wait til our 13 months is over...
My question here is what does it mean by BG check is done?is that mean we r in the last stage of getting ppr or something else...

I got an email from CPP-O requesdting RPRF, PCC, Finger prints and Personal History on March 14, 2013. Submitted the same on Apr 04, 2013.


ECAS went into processing on April 23, 2013.


Now waiting starts again :-X

Thats good for you guys. atleast you know your application has been processed and is in final stages and you should have your ppr soon ... my 13 months are up next week and i dont have an idea whats going on with my application.. maybe ill talk to the mp here to check the status...

And while in the form it asks LMO # but that doesnt apply in my case so just say NA
