Hi,

I got the below email from CIC asking for RCMP finger prints for myself and spouse (should send in 30 days). My wife never entered Canada, I was wondering if she still needs to do RCMP finger prints?? (or ask CIC the same). If anybody has experienced this situation, please let me know.
Processing time for RCMP
within Canada applicants – 1.Electronic-3days, 2.Paper-17 weeks
Outside Canada applicants – Only Paper-17 weeks

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

This is in reference to your application for a permanent resident visa. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

RCMP Criminal Record Check (Fingerprint check) for yourself and your spouse

The following website will provide you with important instructions on how to obtain RCMP fingerprints:http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cr-cj/fing-empr2-eng.htm
Do not submit fingerprints to our office that have not been processed by the RCMP as this will cause a delay in the processing of your application.
The RCMP will send the results directly to the Case Processing Pilot – Ottawa within the processing time published on the RCMP's website. If the RCMP Criminal Record Check is returned to you then you can mail it directly to the address indicated below. DO NOT return the results to the RCMP.

Mailing address:
Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa
Citizenship and Immigration Canada
219 Laurier Avenue West (7th Floor)
Ottawa ON
K1A 1L1
Canada

You must send the fingerprints and a copy of this notice directly to the RCMP Headquarters in Ottawa within 30 days from the date of this notice.
Thank you for the interest you have shown in Canada.

Man no E-cas Updates, no PPR, nothing...they just want me to keep my contact info updated,,,i dont know why
same here man

A friend of my mine who applied on the 27 of April got his PPR last Thursday.he saw all these people getting personal histories requested, RPRF and so on. Since he paid his RPRF at the time he applied, he took the initiative to send his personal history without getting a request for it. Guess what? Three days later he got PPR. I presume they don't care which month you applied in. I'll be doing the same thing this Monday. Just wanted to instill some hope in you folks.

hi chicka,
could u plz tel his/her timeline? I m also an april 2012 applicant..and submited rprf initially with the application..
Thanks...:)

I hope i receive PCC soon....

since they have asked for the payment I will pay for her as well. Cause the attachment on the email says that I need to pay for all my dependents etc...

But when I am emailing my receipt I will make a note of that. I confirmed that with CIC call centre they have said to the same... :)

I was expecting them to send me an email this week but looks like they have not reviewed what I have sent them 10 days ago :)
