Well, He can always write a coverletter explaining situation to CIC, they will take his old WP back and will re-issue him a new open WP.

it will cost him $150 and WP will only be for only one year. Please make sure he has his AOR / MR

My friend called CIC number and explained his situation and asked if he can be issued open wp but they refused.

Do you think that writing a letter would work, anyone(whose closed wp is expiring in 2014) received this bridging open wp??

hI I called cic , they told me dat if i get them new offer letter from employer,, they will issue me a new cosed work permit nd there is no need to revise sinp.... m confused

well I confirmed that and its not true, because they pickup your new NOC code from your new revised nomination so if there is no revised nomination they will not process it. It happened with one of my friend in SK

I think I am going to be the first 2012 applicant with expired medicals (feb 21st).. I am going to wait and ask for a second GCMS notes to see. But if you ask me I think the officer has not touched my file since May when my file went to In Process ... And have another 10000 files in front..

One of my friends in CIC told me that as long as you have not left Canada, Medical would be extended. Otherwise, you have to do it again. They only trust their own health services.
