Well, I guess it depends upon case to case.. I have seen a guy getting PPR within a month as his status went to 'in process'. I personally know a class fellow, she got this status update in March, 2012 and she 's still waiting. Also, a guy recently got the PPR when his status was still 'Application received'.. :)

Patience is the key, anyway!

Guys, Lets all take a chill pill and wait atleast 6 months after MR for PPR.

Its coming...on the way..not sure when will we get it

well....it makes sense but hopefully no longer than 8 :S

Today 'Tuesday' was November's applicants time to receive PRs. In October, I will be my 10 months (aprox. processing time for Ottawa 10 months), I am In process since May 10 (already 4 months), I did my Medical March (already 6 months). Conclusion nobody knows, every case is different. Let's hope for the best and everybody receive the PR soon. :(

@ Syed... I have read and understood your situation well. In my opinion, you SOMEHOW missed that AOR/MR email. Whether or not it was sent by CIC is irrelevant now. The GCMS notes affirms that it was sent. You must be pro-active now. You must keep asking CIC until they reply to you. But if you do nothing, then I'm afraid it will not solve anything.
Also, I'm a bit amused that you hadn't taken any steps for such a long time.
Contact/Call your MP if in Canada. Else, send emails and a registered mail to CIC for an inquiry.
Good luck.

I drove to Detroit today in person and got visas. no photo on the visa. Two COPRs for each person. One has photo and another COPR has no photo on it. The 2nd photo returned to me. I paid US$980 for 2 adults. no payment for kids. No visa for kids since they are US citizens, but they do have their own COPRs. I arrived there about 9 am. About 6 persons there in line and most from Canada. We were told to pick up at 2 pm. When I came back at 1:30, most of them had taken their passports already and gone. I saw only 2 folders waiting for pickup. The deadline to land is May 2 2013, the day before medical exam anniversary. All done.

I believe more guys will get ppr in the coming weeks, since it is our turn now.

Congratulation. You have completed the race successfully. When are you going to land? The sooner the better, I guess. Keep us updated.

Going by the other discussions in this forum... about 5 people got their PPR this week (Monday/Tuesday)... And their timelines are pretty close to ours... Ottawa is still rolling out PPRs... Thats positive!!!

guys ... my friend just applied for permanent residence in july 11 and he got his medical yesterday from CIO in sydney....and it shows in the instructions that the Dr. has to send it to CIO sydney... sounds to me that CIO in sydney is doing some processing as well as collecting applications ... very weird....any one saw something similar ?

I sent my medicals to Toronto as per instructions received on the email. since I applied after Dec 2011.

8 days and it would be 8 months of waiting and 6 months since medicals.
