Stop being so foolish. I come to this site everyday to compare dif people's timeline, but I've been getting so sick of most people complaining on and on and on. Even look at last year's timeline. Most of their AOR's didn't even come through until 5-6 months after. The CIC are making their effort to change things and they did by shortening the processing time so much, and you can see that since it only takes 1-3 months for the AOR/MR. I'm also frustrated of waiting, but wow. It really makes me disgusting how most of you wait for like a month and start freaking out. Oh, I haven't heard from them for a month now, what should I do?! Seriously people, you guys are IMMIGRATING. You think these things are really that simple? The CIC people are going over a summary of pretty much your whole life. You think this is a simple thing to do? Everyone's tired and frustrated. There are people who've been waiting for over four years who will get their applications cancelled. Those people got a right to complain. But not you guys. In USA it takes over a decade to just get a PR. So stop whining and thank Canada for letting you guys in so easily. I mean, I even saw a member who kept whining on and on until she got her PR, and right after landing she would complain about how she doesn't like it in Canada. Learn to thank and to be optimistic. One last thing, the CIC never promised you that they would get everything done in a certain amount of time. They provided you with an approximate time frame, meaning that it could get shorter or longer than that time. And did you guys know that calling to just check where your files are isn't gonna help at all? If you've been waiting for like over a year and nothing came, there could be something wrong. Plus what good does calling/contacting do? It's not gonna make your file to be checked up right away. It just delays everybody else's processes.

Right, Current processing of application by CIC is much better than what it was.

I completely agree with the above. Guys you are applying to a country to immigrate and live there. when you apply for jobs they take months and weeks to get back to you and this is a country who gives you an opportunity to live a better life. If you were so frustrated with this process why did you even apply? Stay in the country you are in. This is a great opportunity for everyone to move to Canada. I live in Canada now, and i must say this is a great country. Nothing like it. If it takes 1 month or 20months wait for it. contacting MPs asking notes doesn't do anything. Not even once i contact any of the offices, not PNP not CIC for my application. Their process is clear, they know their jobs better than us. We can't blame them for delays. Non of us are multi-millionnaires who would move to canada and invest millions of dollars and canada should consider the applications because if we don't immigrate they gna loose that investment . NO, all of us are working class people. you can't do anything except wait. Patience is a virtue. None of you are gona land and invest millions into canada's economy you will just play a small part in growing the economy.

I wish all you all the best, and you will get the PR if you deserve it, if you don't then accept the fact you are not worth it.

Hi,

I am told any time before 'Application received' date doesnt really matter much to the CiC :(

I got my medical request in feb 2012... and my application was in queue for approx 130 days before it went into 'in process' status. With more and more traffic at Ottawa, this time has been steadily increasing... I would say a wait time of 4 to 5 months to get into 'in process' after MR is received is pretty common in this forum.

After the status turns to 'in process' i dont know how long it takes to receiving the PPR. I am 50 days past 'in process' already and I havent heard a thing. Been hearing in other forums, a very random cases of Passport requests in a month or so. Having said that we really dont have much data to estimate on... I am guesstimating anywhere between 2-4 months.

Hope this information helps.

JonMonc

thanks

People who are waiting for more than 120 days after MR, should write a collective E-mail to media / Immigration Minster Kenny, advising them what we are going through and how CPP-O is delaying everything.

We have a written confirmation from office saying that we will be getting updates in 120 days.

Its impossible to reach CIC call center. Impossible to get a certain response of E-mails from them

Like every other office in a developed world...Immigration office should be responsible for its actions

Frustrated PR candidate

I think it's not bad idea that we should send email. I am ready. I think it will be effective if more number of people send it.

I think its not worth if we argue about it. Everyone has its own opinion. I would request everyone rather then making comments, we should look for some way-out.

I am sensing a bit of hostility in here. Calm down people and voice your opinion without offending anyone :)

I already have couple of people messaging me that they support my ideas, lets give some time to all other folks in forum, if we can get more than 10 people who want to send the E-mail, lets do it.

first of all .. i started this thread so that we can help each other coz all of us here are heading towards the same goal .. and there would be several situations where everyone would get frustrated at some point of time .. there is nothing wrong with anyone expressing their feelings here as long as it doesnt affect anyone elses.. Mr/Ms Pokar.. till date .. if someone ever had a nervous breakdown .. all we did was support them .. if you feel its bothering you in any way .. please dont share anything in here at all .. everyone is different in there own ways has the right express what they want .. if it bothers you so much on how ppl express their emotions .. maybe you should stay away rather than butt in unnecessarily .. .. demeaning someone in here is not encouraged .. so please get a hold of yourself .. seems like ur d one who is way more frustrated than anyone else here .. coz ur taking it out on someone else rather than CIC .. we know how CIC aint doing injustice to us .. but please dont add stuff in here that would frustrate ppl more than we already are .. so.. please .. if you dont have something nice to say in here .. dont say anything at all arite .. cheers

Well said ...

we learn of those getting good news - we cheer, give congratulations, and query them such that we may learn something that may be of help in each our own applications.

we hear of those getting exasperated at the way things are going, those in this thread find ways to support them, ask details, try to help by providing information, drawing upon experiences.

lets try to keep this thread as it is - a supportive and learning channel to all

Cheers to everyone - and have a nice weekend all...:)

so it said in process on 23-8 and PPR on 24

@shadyhashem,

Thanks - My status in ECAS never changed from 'Application Received' since I submitted my application, and also after submission of my medicals. No change - no added notes. I received the email for PPR ; no ECAS change - still 'Application Received'. It changed after two days after I received the PPR - from 'Application Received' it is now 'In Progress'.

As I learned from other threads, using ECAS alone in determining the true progress of the application is not enough - so I also sent email inquiries and also ordered GCMS notes. It was worth noting that in my GCMS notes, I see they also note incoming email inquiries from me.

I hope this clarifies this and helps...

Hello Guys ,

Long time since any updates received from Ottawa.

my 120 days passed on mid july and of course as everyone did I sent email informing them, also inquiring about my medicals reception cause my ecas doesn't update
Just received their reply today :'( (After 1 month).\\
their reply was as follows:

"Good day,

Your medicals have been received and your application is in process.

Warm regards,

Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa | Centre de Traitement Pilote - Ottawa – 123"

My ecas still not updated showing application received on 27-Jan-2012
the thing that I noticed that the officer no. has changed from 58 to 123 (if this is the officer no.)
Also seems that there's a reminder every month for them on the same day of reception (the 27th in my case)
what's ur opinion guys/gals?

seems like I'll wait for long time

I am from egypt as well but i live in canada as a student ...and i applied under the PNP....
