In my case, I am not expecting any communication from there end before October. The wait has been extremely frustrating for me but just thinking about this makes me even more frustrating. I have had to turn down good job offers as I am on an employee dependent work visa

same here my wp is also bounded with employer and lots of gud opportunities surrounds me but can't grab them.

Update! Today my e-cas status changed from Application Recd to "In Process" with a note "We started processing your application on August 7, 2012"

What I absolutely have no clue about is how long is it going to take from here on to get PPR. i.e. how long does the application typically stay in process before they send out the PPR? any inputs or thoughts?

That's good news. At least something. But still crazy logic. You applied after me and mine still only show application received. What the hell is Going on in Ottawa? Feels like I'll never see this line on my ecas.

My timeline is quite much similar to urs (my application was received on Jan 24th, 2012 at NS).

My file was transferred to RPC Buffalo at that time.. Just wanted to ask if the same happened to you as well and then u got transferred to Ottawa?

You mean 15 months total or 15 months after "in process"? You are "in process" since March 2012?

I have spent a total of 7-8 months already....

I am in process since 27-March-2012.
I mean the whole process is 15 months.

Here is my E cas: (in process)

We received your application in Nov, 2011
We started processing your application in May, 2012
Medical results have been received.

In May, I received a letter from Ottawa, said:

Applications for permanent residence in Canada in the category that you have applied have a processing standard of 10 months. If you have not received any instructions from this office by 120 days from the date of this letter, you are requested to contact this office directly.

I have already here for 9 and half month, and almost 100 days from this letter, I will contact ottawa office at the beginning of next month.
