Hello everyone!!

I am literally out of my brains!! Here are the series of events :

>> PR Application processed at NDVO. PPR/MR/RPRF Requested, sent passport on 20th of June 2012. Reached NDVO on 25th June
>> Medical Recieved on E-Cas on 28 June
>> Status changed to Decision Made on 21st July
>> Still no sign of passport anywhere as of 1st August 2012

I know people who got their passports after DM in matter of 3 days.

I dont know what to do.

Could anyone advice what step should i take next?? Email takes around a month to recieve a reply from NDVO. Is it ok to send them a mail asking back for the passport?

Since am based in Canada and the passport is sent to NDVO in India, I already sent them a letter giving the address at which the passport should be sent back after processing.

Am here in Canada.

hi serious_indian,
i got the PPR as well but my consultant says that we have to wait till they really need the passport.i dont understand why is he saying so. coz my ppr also says that failure to do so will result in refusal of application i know its too much to ask but is it possible if you could share copy of your PPR? if thats ok.

thanks

Hello All. I've been keeping track with this topic for many months, and gathered a lot of information. I just received my GCMS notes and I would like to share it with the group. First of all here is my timeline.

BC PNP - Semi Skilled Category
Office: CPP Ottawa
Application filled: January 20, 2012
AOR and medical request: March 16, 2012
Medicals done: March 19, 2012
Medical received on Ecas: April, 23, 2012
Ecas last update: Application received - Medical Results have been received. STILL NO IN PROCESS.

I have requested my first set of GCMS notes on April and to my disappointment after 3 months the notes I just received today, august 1, look pretty much EXACTLY like the first ones.

ASSESSMENTS
Eligibility: Not Started
Security: Not Started
HIRV:
Criminality: In Progress
Org Crime:
Medical: Passed

In Paper file History it looks like my file never left Ottawa, however in Notes the most recent one, which is about my first request of notes, the GCMS office requests a copy of the Buffalo visa file regarding my application.

I'm very frustrated about the lack of progress in my application. I've seen people with similar timelines as mine getting In progress in their ECAS, while mine is stuck on application received.

The last thing I did was to send my RCMP clearance to Ottawa, even though they didin't ask me, just so I could make sure my application is still going. I sent them an email asking if they received it in hopes they can confirm anything about my application. The first email I sent them, after the 120 days period was just an auto-reply.

Any thoughts? Do you think that the fact that the application is under semi skilled category it would take longer than the skilled ones? I am single, and only lived in my home country and Canada.

Thank you in advance for your input. And sorry about the long post. :)

HopeSprings,

When did you request your GCMS? JULY 1ST 2012? I requested it on Jluly 4, hope get it next week. Yours is better than mine. I submitted application in Feb 2 2012, you got AOR one month ahead of me. And my medical received inforamtion never shows in my ECAS so far. I have mroe reasons to express such feelings than you. So, be happy.

@HopeSprings - Yes is very disappointing and the thing is I applied even before you. Is your application under skilled or semi skilled category? I wonder if there is any difference in processing times in the federal part depending on you application. The only guideline I have for times in semi skilled is a friend of mine who got his PR 6 months after medical exams, however this was before the Buffalo close.

@EdmontonBound - I am from Brazil, and have been in Canada for almost 2 years.

I've been keeping track of applications on this Forum and also on Trackitt. It seems as they are concentrating more on CEC application as oppose to PNP. I`ve seen PPR from applicants from Dec 2011 and Jan2012, whereas us PNP applicants are stuck in limbo.

In my case, I'm one of those people whose application went straight to CPP for "Faster Processing", my timeline was very fast until my medical exams then after that it seem like nothing was done. With Buffalo closing the original CPP people now have to compete with other applicants from that office, so now I feel CPP isslower than ever. I know there are people who are waiting a lot longer than me but no matter how long the wait only we can know how hard it is.

Has anyone heard anything from Ottawa lately?

Stay strong everyone and hope for the best.

Why would your agent think that they don't really need your passport when they asked for it? They want to issue your visa thats why they asked for it. They will not ask for this at a later date and your application may be refused immediately. You should make a conscious effort to DO EXACTLY AS THE VO INSTRUCTED. I mean it's like them asking you to do medicals and your agent telling you they don't really need it...let's wait till the vo really needs your medical. That's lame in my opinion.

I know, i dont understand why he is refusing to send passport, its clearly stated that failure to do so will result in refusal in application. medical is done, RPRF is paid, Caips report suggests that security/background check is done, then whats the problem? i am gonna ask him one more time, but for sure i will go on to send the passport, its better my passport stays with CIC then myself.
